From the bright colours to the happy tears, it was such a pleasure coordinating Christine and Graham’s wedding.
Not a single moment was overlooked. Every detail was intentional.
Christine spent summers in the Okanagan with her mother growing up, while Graham moved to Princeton years ago. Much of their relationship was spent long distance, making Summerland the perfect place to begin their marriage together. The location held so much meaning and symbolism for their next chapter.
Sixty of their closest family and friends gathered to celebrate. It was windy (we’re still not talking about it), but thankfully the rain held off just long enough for the ceremony. Thank goodness for a Plan B marquee tent.
There were flowers woven into Christine’s hair in memory of her mother, a relaxed timeline with an extended happy hour so the couple could truly enjoy their guests, and an atmosphere that felt like an elevated backyard celebration.
One of the most emotional moments of the day was a recorded speech from the bride. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, myself included. Personalized t-shirts were tossed into the crowd like a concert, the dance floor stayed packed, pizzas arrived late into the evening, local focaccia and charcuterie flowed all day, and shuttles carried guests into Penticton to keep the party going.
The perfect ending to a beautiful day.
Here’s to a lifetime of happiness for Christine and Graham 💛🧡
