Congratulations to Kristen and Brandyn! 🍂🤍

Their intimate ceremony at their beautiful ranch home had all the right guests: a handful of their closest family and friends, one very friendly dog, and the horses watching nearby. With that gorgeous autumn weather, it was such a lovely day to celebrate their love.

And on my way home, I couldn’t resist a stop at the Don-O-Ray pumpkin patch. A ranch wedding and pumpkins? My kind of fall day. 🎃🐴

Equinox date night 🍂💗

A pink Okanagan sky, a few deer crossing the road, and a drive to Armstrong with my favourite person to see The Fall of the House of Usher at Caravan Farm Theatre.

Spooky effects, wonderful actors and an enormous papier-mâché dragon! 🐉

After all these years, I still believe one of the secrets to keeping love alive is novelty. Go somewhere different. See something strange. Have an adventure together.

And on the first night of fall, this was a pretty perfect hot date with the love of my life. ❤️

Congratulations Hannah & Tristan! 💕🎻

A beautiful, intimate wedding at Hillcrest Farm Market, with live violin from Muireann Meiklejohn Kelowna Community Music School setting the mood perfectly. There’s just something about live music at a wedding… instant goosebumps. ✨

Hillcrest can host all kinds of wonderful celebrations super big or intimate and small, and this sweet little gathering was just right. 💍🌿 The epic views from the top of the hills above the little restaurant/market and specialty store were in full glory with clear skies and perfect late summer weather!

Congratulations to Kate & Eric ! Love stories are inspiring and we are reminded about how we can feel totally different about life itself, just by falling in love! Sanctuary Gardens in West Kelowna was a spectacular setting for your wedding ceremony and the weather and day felt like absolute paradise! It was such an honour to be your wedding officiant !

Congratulations to Karen & Tim whose guests hooted and hollered jokes that it was “about time!” I don’t know when it becomes clear to a couple that it’s time to get married and I’m not even going to pretend marriage is for everyone. There’s something quite sweet about being a boyfriend or girlfriend or partner w the same death do us part sentiment as well!

It’s just that I have noticed a trend in the last couple of years. Couples who’ve already done the big stuff together. Built careers, bought the house, got the dog, raised the kids… and survived about 3,000 conversations about what’s for dinner. 😂
Then, 10 or 15 years in, they decide: You know what? Let’s get married. 💍
The wedding isn’t the beginning of their life together. It’s a celebration of the beautiful life they’ve already built.
(And Quail’s Gate Estate Winery is a pretty gorgeous place to celebrate it! )

Like grapes ripening on the vine, Bailey & Derek have spent 14 years nurturing a love that has grown richer with every season. And now, surrounded by the vines and beautiful Okanagan Lake at Vows & Vines, they celebrated what they’ve so lovingly grown together… and chose to keep growing it for all the seasons ahead. 💍

Dante had the location picked, the spot marked and knew EXACTLY where he was supposed to stand. 😂💍

So naturally, I had just one question…

“Are you ready?”

He most definitely was. ❤️

High on a natural rock platform overlooking Okanagan Lake at beautiful Bertram Regional Park, Dante waited for Mariah and what followed was one of those ceremonies where the emotions simply took over.

Their vows were so heartfelt and sincere that they both cried their way through them. 🥹 And really, there’s something pretty wonderful about loving someone enough that the words are hard to get out.

Bertram has several beautiful little places to get married, but on this day, this particular rock had the best seats in the Okanagan. 💕
