This New Moon is an eclipse, creating an exceptional opportunity for spiritual development.
When an eclipse steals the outer light, we are called upon to keep the inner light burning more intensely until the outer light returns. We become responsible for carrying the light through the darkness.
This theme is reflected beautifully through both hemispheres.
In the Northern Hemisphere, Leo 21 — Solar Communion reminds us that we are each a flame of the same Sun. Our individual light is not separate from the light in others. When we recognize and strengthen that shared radiance, illumination increases.
In the Southern Hemisphere, Aquarius 21 — Guardian of Hope asks us to maintain faith when the light cannot yet be seen. Hope becomes more than optimism; it becomes a spiritual responsibility. We hold the lantern when others cannot see the dawn.
Maybe where you are, the Perseids will be lighting up the night sky. ☄️✨ Here in the Okanagan, our smoky skies may keep us from seeing much of the show, but I still love knowing it is happening above us, even when we can’t see it.
Not everything has to be visible to be real. We can hold the lanterns of love and of healing and good wishes in our hearts and send energy and our prayers and some hero’s in the community have been there with tangible hands on help
Even if the smoke hides the Perseids from us here in the Okanagan, I still love knowing they’re there. Some things are worth looking up for anyway. ✨
And with all this smoke comes the much more serious reality of the fires themselves.
I am sending out love and hope and healing to everyone who has been displaced, frightened, or affected, and so much gratitude to those working to keep our communities safe.
