Happy 40th, baby. I don't even know where to start on celebrating you, but a day of fishing to kick off your birthday week was fitting.
40 years, gracing this planet with kindness, wisdom beyond your years of literally anything and everything, patience, passion for what you love, and the need to help anyone at any moment. You are true to who you are, yet unwavered in becoming an even better version of yourself.
You are still just as ambitious as you were 18 years ago, when you took on 2 and 3 year old boys as your own without looking back. Your zest for life and adventure is infectious, and your work ethic is a whole league of its own. You are the one who shows up for everyone, without ever asking for anything in return -- selfless to a fault.
Happy birthday to my favourite person, my best friend, and the heart of our home. We don't say it enough, but we appreciate you. As a Dad, a husband and co-parent, a business partner and entrepreneur, a teacher of all things, a chef, a builder, an animal caretaker, a garden drip line installer, a family comedian, a track Dad, a protector (especially of mice, rats, and spiders), a tailor, a counselor, a housekeeper, an egg collector, a repairman, a chauffeur, a mechanic, a hay farmer, a wife putter-upper-with, and countless other things, you are just THE BEST human.
How I ended up with you as mine, I'll never know, but I'm sure glad I fell for the most handsome cowboy at that concert. Happy Birthday, Heinzman
