Our beautiful BC is burning.

We are on edge, we have our go bags packed with only a few memorable items that an entire house holds, our ringers are on loud when we go to sleep in case we get the alert that we need to evacuate.

We can’t see our sky, we can’t go outside because we can’t breathe, we are brushing ash off our cars, our patio furniture, our hair and face, we are watching live embers fall with fear that a new fire will start.

We are terrified we won’t get out in time, we are scared we won’t see our family and friends again, we fear that everything we worked for and built will soon be forgotten and lost in burning flames.

We have already lost 2 towns, evacuation centres are full and we have been warned that if we need to get out, we should be ready to sleep in our cars. This is not a joke, this is not an exaggeration, this is our life here in BC. ♥️

The most beautiful look of a wedding is the look of love. When you see the love of two people, nothing else matters.

And when you’re the two in love, you see nothing else! The love between two souls is mesmerizing, and inspiring. Everything and everyone else disappears when you have found your person.

Is there a small tear in your dress or tux? Are your flowers the wrong color? Do your shoes hurt? Did the song skip? None of that matters when you lock eyes with your person and just with a look you can hear the laughter and the “Oh well, I get to marry you”

We all want the perfect weddings day, but what makes it perfect is seeing two people in love sharing that love as one🤍🌿

I can’t even find the words to express the gratitude and excitement that I feel right now to once again be nominated for 2021 Readers Choice for Wedding Planner and Event Planner! 🙌🏽

After 2020, I will admit I had many doubts and I worried constantly about the future of my company and my career path, it was scary. And, if I am being perfectly honest I wasn’t sure I could do it. I was lost, depressed, anxious, confused and every other emotion you could think of, I felt it😵‍💫

I had planned a few weddings, and virtual events, but it was nothing compared to what my schedule was supposed to. I saw the hurt, and sadness in my clients eyes when they discovered that their grandparents, best friends, aunts and uncles couldn’t be at their beautiful day, but when I saw the love in my clients eyes that they would have when they realized they were married, it made me realize that THIS is exactly why I continue to do what I do, and why I love it. 💍

Being nominated is more than just a title to me, it means that even throughout one of the most difficult periods of our life, you could still recognize and appreciate all of the work, effort and many tears I, and every other vendor nominated put into your special day. I cried for you because I know this wasn’t your dream, I cried for myself because I was so unsure, and now I’m crying tears of joy because you guys have valued me enough to be recognized as a top wedding and event planner.

So, from the bottom of my heart, THANKYOU! This means everything🤍

I have a secret…. I have never been a sweets fan😧 Crazy, I know! But, even though I don’t like sweets, I love to look at them! I can watch people work their magic on baked goods for HOURS!

I think naked cakes are just stunning, and something I would potentially eat (less icing so I might like it haha)🤍

Hi, I’m Emily👋🏽
I’m a born and raised Kamloops girl who is about to become your favourite third wheel! I’m a wedding an event planner in , but most of my weddings are in the or area! I love that our beautiful backyard is the perfect backdrop to any wedding or event! Being creative is what fuels me😍

Five Facts About Me:

1. Hat Lover- You’ll know when I’ve arrived because you’ll most likely see one of my hats first.

2. Crazy Reusable Straw Person- I am that girl who whips out her straw ANYWHERE, my friends just shake their heads, but atleast I’m not dropping ice down my face & shirt.

3. Basic Starbucks Lover- Like Taylor Swift said, “Got a lot of Starbucks Lovers” or something like that 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve always got one on the go

4. Vinyl Obsessed- I collect vinyls and I have my record player playing pretty much all day. My music taste is very eclectic. I go from Taylor Swift to Rob Zombie to Fleetwood Mac to Frank Sinatra...

5. Reality TV Watcher- I was obsessed with The Hills, & Jersey Shore and as I got older it turned into Real Housewives, well since quarantine I found even more to binge watch...So if Law & Order: SVU, Friends, S*x & the City, or Gilmore Girls isn’t on (Which it usually is) then it’ll be trash TV.

*Bonus* You will almost always find balloons in my house...I find any reason to celebrate something 🎈
