Recently I attended a networking event where Tayla asked, “what are your 5 non-negotiables?” At first I was thinking prices, use of good quality products but what she really meant was our values, essentially. So this got me thinking…
1️⃣ I am a people person - I love to meet new people, have conversations about anything from business to being a mom, I always treat people with respect & appreciation & I always take the opportunity to be a little goofy when appropriate. I’ve been told by a few people that they’ve hired me sololy based off my personality.
2️⃣ I am reliable - if I commit to someone, whether it be a client or a friend, I ensure that I pull through for them no matter the obstacles.
3️⃣ I am honest - working in the customer service industry at times I’ve been directed to be a little dishonest in order to make a sale or to “keep the peace”. In my opinion, doing that resulted in a worse outcome or it just made me feel icky. I have been & always will be upfront & honest with my clients!
4️⃣ I am compassionate - when I’m dedicated to a project and/or theme, I am ALL in! I will spend countless hours ensuring that I am executing what my clients visions are & that every detail plays a part in the final outcome.
5️⃣ I am accountable - if there’s a hiccup due to my ignorance or me learning new things, I take full responsibility. This has happened a couple of times in my beginning stages & all I can do is take that experience, reflect & prevent it from happening again.
Thinking this through & taking to the time to really figure out what my non-negotiables are, really helped me have a different perspective & feel enlightened about my business.
What are your 5? Tell me in the comments 👇🏻
