In this moment, we find ourselves both celebrating and mourning. Just as Jasper Park Elopements was ready to take flight, Laura and I are on opposite ends of British Columbia, grappling with unimaginable loss and trauma of our beloved mountain community. We are grateful to say that our families and we are safe, and we hold onto the hope that Jasper Park Elopements will return stronger than ever as we all work together to rebuild.
Alison and Colin were married at sunset just three nights before the wildfire arrived, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have captured the beauty of their love amidst the forest and valley we call home. One day, we will return to this place that holds so many cherished memories and possibilities. Until then, we hold onto the promise of renewal and the strength of our community.
