Today is Cri Du Chat Awareness Day!
My eldest daughter, Elliott, was born with Cri Du Chat syndrome (also known as 5P- Syndrome), and today, we celebrate all the things that make her unique and wonderful. Every year on May 5th, we wear striped socks, one long and one short, to represent the complete and the missing piece of chromosome 5. We celebrate Elli every day, but today in particular!
To know Elli is to love her. She is the sweetest soul with a quick wit, and the most contagious belly laugh around. We learn so much from her every single day, and simply can’t imagine life without her in it 🤍
Happy Awareness day to our Elli girl, who opens our eyes to all the beauty in difference, every single day.
