Thankful is such an understatement to what I feel.
I wanted to take time this weekend to reflect on how I’m feeling in business, life, with the horses.. I haven’t found a strong enough word.
This was never what I expected my life to look like, I knew very early on my future would include horses in some way, but not like this. Not documenting them in so many different ways.
Horse shows. Rodeos. Sale photos. Just because they’re loved sessions. New sweet beginnings. Bitter endings.
Photography has done so much for me and now I get to give back to others through my art.
If you asked me when I was younger what I wanted to be when I was younger I would have said “ content. “ bacause that all I ached for and for many years seemed unattainable.
I grew up too fast, I grieve for my childhood and little me often. But through all the trials and traumas, I developed perspective, awareness, how to be a wallflower.
Survival skills I’ve harnessed, tamed and renamed.
I never thought I’d make it this far into my life but here I am, and I’m so incredibly thankful I made it through the s**t and grew flowers.
I am now more so much than content, I am thriving.
Thank you to each and everyone who helped me get here as a friend, a client, a stranger who interacts with my posts, someone met through the horse community.
I appreciate your support however it may come, it never goes unnoticed.
This year I am thankful for so many things but most of all I’m thankful to be here.
