When sending flowers, we always ask for the recipient’s phone number— and plot twist, no, it’s not because we want to ruin your surprise flower delivery. 😅
(It's quite the opposite!)
Here's why:
At The Village Green Flower Shop, we like to ensure that our flowers are delivered in the best shape possible. Quality is important to us!
Which is why we always call the recipient prior to making our deliveries because we do not leave our deliveries outside if nobody is home.
Leaving delicate flowers outside could subject them to weather damage, and possibly even theft. (We also don’t want to waste gas driving out 30 minutes to find out, womp womp, the recipient isn't home.) 😔 That's no fun for anyone.
So next time one of our staff members asks for the receiver’s phone number, please understand that we have your best interest at heart, and want to get your beautiful flowers directly into the hands of the person you care about enough to send flowers to.
Side note: also, we live in a time where someone coming up to the door unannounced is no longer received with excitement but more with suspicion and we love when people open the door to us with excitement! 😍💐
