Our one-year anniversary was in May… but in true Celebrate Events fashion, we were knee-deep in events, tablecloths, and backdrops for everyone but ourselves. So in early June, I finally got to surprise my mom with a backyard celebration to honour everything she’s created — and most importantly, her. 💗
She walked in completely shocked — into a space full of beauty, joy, and people who love her deeply. It was the most special moment. Because this past year has been so much more than just a business journey. It’s been a labour of love, growth, and sacrifice — and my mom has been at the heart of it all.
She is our rock. The calm in the storm. The one who quietly carries the weight when things get tough, who never asks for recognition, and who somehow always makes it look easy. Celebrate Events would not exist without her strength, her heart, and her unwavering belief in what we’re building. She is the soul of this business — and I am endlessly proud to walk beside her. 💕
To our Balloon Goddess, our close friend, one of our biggest cheerleader, and one of the kindest people we know — we truly couldn’t have done this year without you. The balloons you created for the party were beyond beautiful, but it’s your love and support that have meant the most. We have to give a HUGE thank you to our chair, tent, and tables guy!! 😎 Not only did he save the day when our original tables didn’t show up (and came through within minutes), but he’s saved our butts more times than we can count.
