With Monday having been On The Scene Food Truck's 2nd anniversary, I would love to thank you, the good people that have come by the truck week in and week out for all the love and support!

So This Week's Special Guest is, YOU! This week, all Headliners, add-ons and poutines will be $1 off!

That includes the Muskoka 44 Burger that I am featuring this month in the Food Wars FUNdraising competition hosted by Community Living Huntsville and being participated in by 9 of the food trucks in and around the Huntsville area! We have all chosen an item from our menu that we will be featuring and donating some of the proceeds from every sale of this item to go to an amazing cause! I can't wait to see you all at the On The Scene Main Stage at Smith's Ultramar in beautiful Port Sydney sometime this week or this month so I can personally thank you for your support!

Welcome to September everyone!

I will be taking part in the Food Truck Wars competition this month, raising money for Community Living Huntsville to help build a disability-inclusive community in Huntsville. This program is near and dear to me and my family as my cousin Mark, who I already donate a dollar from every Reservoir Dog sale for, lived with many health and ability issues. Proceeds from every Muskoka 44 Burger will be donated to the program towards raising their goal funds!

This month also brings on new hours. I will now be open Thursday to Sunday with new hours on Sunday.

This week's hours will be:

Thursday - 12pm-7pm
Friday - 11:30-7pm (large lunch for local business)
Saturday - 11am-5pm
Sunday - 11am - 3pm

Time is an amazing thing.

Tomorrow is not only my 39th birthday, it is also the On The Scene Food Truck and Catering's 2 year birthday. 2 years of learning and growing, 2 years of weekly Special Guests, 2 years of friendly faces and extremely generous people coming to see me to fill their bellies with some delicious food. Sun, clouds, rain and snow, you folks have been here through it all supporting a dream that has grown into what it is today.

Thank you to you, the people that have come out and told your friends and family about the great food that is available here at the moving restaurant that is On The Scene Food Truck and Catering. Thank you to the Port Sydney Chamber of Commerce for naming me the New Business of the Year last year! The support of the community here is amazing! Also a big thank you to the people that have hired me to come out to their special events. Weddings, birthdays and more! Also the bigger events, from the Northern Nationals Auto Show and the Sundridge Sunflower Festival to the Tall Pines Music Festival, all amazing experiences.

The biggest thank you goes to my wife and family who have supported me through this entire endeavor and have dealt with me being absent from the many family events that I have missed with having to be here on the truck.

2 years down, many more to go!

It is a beautiful day here On The Scene at Smith's Ultramar in Port Sydney!

This Week's Special Guest, or Guests, are the Casino Fries and Rancher's Delight! The Casino Fries are topped with Diced Peppers-Onions-Tomatoes with chopped fried chicken, shredded cheese covered in Poutine gravy. To make it a Rancher's Delight, simply add a drizzle of ranch dressing! $9 for a small and $14 for a large.

It's the weekend! Come by and see yours truly for a delicious bite to eat today from 11am-5pm! I've got The Tragically Hip playing all day long! Did you get a chance to see The Hip live? I'd love to hear your stories and share mine with you as well!

While you're in the area today, be sure to stop off at Fresh Mart or Dean's Home Hardware to drop off a donation for the Huntsville Otters "Otters For Dollars" program to help keep hockey somewhat affordable for these kids! I made my donation at Freshmart, now it's your turn!
