Our weekday rentals provide an affordable, professional, and welcoming environment to bring your groups together for learning, active living, and socializing. 🌾 From 10,000 Bushels to 77 Years of Community 🌾
Did you know the Highwood Centre was once funded by the harvest?

Back in October 1949, we placed a unique callout in the High River Times. Money was tight, but our local spirit was strong. Instead of asking for cash, the Centre asked our local farmers for wheat—10,000 bushels of it! 🚜

Farmers could drop off their contribution at the local elevators to be sold on the Centre’s behalf, receiving a charity receipt in return. It was a true "grassroots" effort that proved just how much this community valued having a place to gather.

Fast forward 77 years, and that same spirit is still alive. While we might not be trading in grain today, the Highwood Centre remains as a charity, at the heart of the town—hosting your weddings, fundraisers, concerts, and celebrations.

We are so proud of our deep roots in High River’s agricultural history.

Our Flag is Back! 🇨🇦✨

If you were wondering why our flagpole was looking a little bare this week, unfortunately, the intense storm on Monday took down our flag and left the flagpole rope completely stuck at the top.

Luckily, two incredible local Good Samaritans saw the issue and jumped into action. They stopped by with the tools needed to fix the mechanism and proudly raised a brand-new flag over our cenotaph!

Community spirit like this is exactly what makes High River so special. A massive, heartfelt thank you to these two for stepping up, lending their time, and helping us get our flag flying high again! 🙌❤️
