Hastings Revitalization Association Next event in Hastings: Canada Day - Party in the Park - July 1st.

Volunteer-driven organization dedicated to promoting Hastings, supporting local businesses, enhancing our community, and creating events that bring people together. This free and accessible event is held annually the third weekend in August, featuring Concerts, Family Day, Antique Car Show, and More! Sample the food trucks, a petting zoo, see the Therapy Dogs, enjoy the Beverage Pavillion, great music.

We had to make the difficult decision to postpone the Hastings Waterfront Festival until 2027.

While we know this news will be disappointing, this pause will give us the opportunity to regroup, welcome new volunteers, and build an even stronger festival for our community.

The Hastings Waterfront Festival has always been powered by volunteers, and we’d love to have you be part of its future.

Treasure hunters, bargain lovers, and yard sale enthusiasts… mark your calendars!

The Annual Hastings Village Community-Wide Yard Sale is happening on Saturday, July 11, starting at 8:00 AM.

Whether you’re searching for vintage treasures, collectibles, furniture, clothing, toys, books, home décor, or that one unexpected find you didn’t know you needed, this is one of the best days of the year to explore Hastings.

Having a yard sale?
Make sure people can find you! Sign up on the Facebook Event page by commenting with:

• A few photos or a description of what you’ll be selling

The more sales that are listed, the more shoppers we’ll attract to Hastings—and the better the day will be for everyone.

Shopping second-hand is a great way to reduce waste, save money, and give great items a second life.

Even though Mother Nature called a timeout, our Canada Day celebration still ended with a bang. 🎆

To our incredible sponsors—thank you for believing in our community and helping make Party in the Park possible. Your generosity allowed thousands of people to come together to celebrate Canada Day right here in Hastings.

To our amazing volunteers—thank you for the countless hours you gave before, during, and after the event. From planning and setup to serving food, keeping the grounds clean, helping visitors, and packing everything away (even after the storm!), this celebration simply wouldn’t happen without you.

To everyone who came out to celebrate, thank you for your patience, your smiles, and your community spirit. Even with an unexpected weather interruption, Hastings showed once again what makes this village such a special place.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year.

Unfortunately, due to the weather cell that moved through Hastings this afternoon, Party in the Park is now closed for the remainder of the day.

The safety of our volunteers, vendors, performers, and everyone attending the event must always come first.

At this time, the status of tonight’s fireworks is still being assessed. As soon as a decision has been made, we will share an update on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us today, and thank you for your patience and understanding while we work through the next steps.

🎆 Good news! The fireworks are still happening!

Despite the earlier closure of Party in the Park due to the weather, tonight’s fireworks are still scheduled to begin after dusk.

Bring a lawn chair, find a spot along the waterfront, and enjoy one of the highlights of Canada Day in Hastings.

A few reminders:
• Please respect all road closures and follow directions from volunteers and emergency personnel.
• Use the designated parking areas or available street parking where permitted.
• The marina area will remain closed for public safety during the fireworks display.
• Be patient as traffic leaves the village after the show.

Thank you for your understanding earlier today, and we look forward to ending Canada Day with a spectacular fireworks display.

Today is the day! Join us in Hastings at Noon for Canada Day Party in the Park and celebrate with your friends, family, and neighbours.
Admission is free thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors, volunteers, and community partners. Bring a lawn chair, stay for the day, and enjoy everything that makes this such a special community celebration.
Today’s highlights include:�• Canada Day Parade at 4 pm
• Live music and entertainment throughout the day�• Family activities�• Food and refreshments�• Beverage Pavilion�• Kids activities and bouncy castles

We’re also collecting non-perishable food donations for our local food bank. If you’re able, please bring a few canned goods or other shelf-stable items to help local families. Every donation makes a difference.

With today’s orange-level heat warning, please take the weather seriously. We want everyone to have a great day and get home safely.
Please remember to:�• Drink plenty of water throughout the day.�• Wear sunscreen and reapply it regularly.�• Wear a hat and lightweight clothing.�• Take breaks in the shade whenever you can.�• Check in on children, older adults, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to the heat.�• Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
We’ll have shaded tents and a misting tent available to help everyone cool off during the hottest parts of the day.

Getting to Party in the Park is easy!

The Municipality of Trent Hills has added extra parking to help make your Canada Day visit as smooth as possible.

Parking is available at:
🅿️ Arena Lands (Old Hastings Arena site)
🅿️ Hastings Field House

There is also limited street parking available throughout the village.

🎆 Please note: Arena Lands parking is available only for Canada Day festivities, and all vehicles must be removed by July 2.

Once you’ve parked, it’s just a quick walk to a full day of family fun, including:
• Free kids’ activities and bouncy castles
• Live entertainment
• Food vendors
• Hastings’ own Focal Brewing Company in the Beverage Pavilion
• The parade along Front Street West at 4:00 p.m.
• Award-winning fireworks at dusk

🌡️ A Heat Warning is in effect for Canada Day.

We want everyone to have an amazing day at Party in the Park, but your health and safety come first.

If you’re joining us tomorrow, please take a few simple steps to stay safe:

💧 Drink water often—even if you don’t feel thirsty.
🧴 Wear sunscreen and reapply throughout the day.
👒 Bring a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
🪑 Pack a lawn chair so you can relax comfortably.
☂️ Bring an umbrella if you’d like extra shade while watching the entertainment.
🌳 Take breaks in the shade whenever you need them.

To help everyone stay cool, we’ll have shade tents and a misting tent available throughout the day.

Please check in on children, older adults, and anyone who may be be more vulnerable to the heat. If you or someone around you starts feeling dizzy, weak, nauseated, or unwell, move to a cooler area immediately and let one of our volunteers know.

Let’s all look out for one another and make this a safe, fun, and memorable Canada Day in Hastings. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
