We cater for weddings, corporate events, cocktail parties, bridal showers, baby showers, social events, etc. Scott knew from a young age that he loved being in the kitchen, experimenting with different ingredients and recipes. He grew up in the kitchen and was eager to turn his passion into not only a career, but also a lifestyle. As a young and enthusiastic cook, he rose through the kitchen ranks
quickly. He started his culinary career as a Line Cook before advancing swiftly through the roles of Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine and eventually to the role of Executive Chef at such prominent ‘slow food’ restaurants as Ancaster Mill, Spencer’s at the Waterfront, Bread Bar, Compass Restaurant and Yolanda’s Spuntino Casa. Chef Scott took his passion and commitment to quality food to the next level when he accepted a coveted apprenticeship at The Fat Duck, in Berkshire, England – one of only four restaurants in Great Britain to receive three Michelin Stars and owned by celebrity Chef Heston Blumenthal. His time with Chef Blumenthal would prove to have a profound effect on Chef Scott’s culinary technique and style. Scott would go on to work with Canadian celebrity Chef Michael Stadtlander, Australian celebrity Chef Curtis Stone and Carlo Petrini, founder of the International Slow Food Movement, to name only some of the most notable members of the industry he has been inspired by. In 2011, Chef Scott would be named to the Ontario Hostelry Institute’s prestigious Top 30 Under 30 list. More recently, he took his talents to the Iron Chef Uptown Series, a culinary competition in Waterloo, Ontario, where he won. With the opening of City Farm Catering Est. 2014, Chef Scott aims to take the skills and knowledge he has developed over the past 2 decades of culinary experiences to a whole new level. At City Farm Catering, it is his mission to bring the warm atmosphere and mouthwatering flavors of a reputable restaurant experience into the homes of food lovers everywhere.
