It’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself on here, and with lots of new faces finding me lately, it felt like a good time 🤍

I’m Dani! Wife to Austin, mommy to one toddler and one pitsky, photographer, hair and makeup artist, professional third wheel, and someone who has somehow made a career out of two things I genuinely love: helping women feel beautiful and photographing people who love each other.

I’ve been doing hair and makeup for 13 years and photographing weddings, motherhood, and families for over 10, which is actually kind of wild to think about. And somehow, I think I love all of it more now than I did when I started.

Becoming a mom has definitely changed the way I photograph people. I notice the little things more. I think more about which photos are going to matter in 10, 20, 50 years. I think about my daughter looking through our photos someday, and I want my clients’ kids to have that same thing waiting for them.

And outside of work, I’m currently trying to become a reader again, rewatching all 11 seasons of The Walking Dead for the millionth time starting whenever the air turns even just a little bit ‘fall’, dreaming about having horses again someday, and consuming a questionable amount of Coke Zero during busy season 😂

Anyway, hi! I’m really happy you’re here. Whether I’ve photographed your family five times, photographed your wedding years ago, or you just found me this week, thank you for following along 🤍

Ashley is one of the kindest, most loving people I know. No matter what life hands her, she continues to love people so freely and so generously. It’s one of the things I’ve always adored most about her.

We met in high school and instantly became the kind of friends you just know you’ll have for life. Somehow, it’s been nearly two decades already, and in six months I’ll have the incredible privilege of standing beside her as one of her bridesmaids while she marries the (other) love of her life, Spencer in Jamaica.

Before all of that, we got to spend an evening together at Canatara Beach in our home ‘city’ of Sarnia (we’re actually Wyoming, Ontario girls). I loved getting to do Ashley’s hair and makeup before wandering the beach barefoot together, photographing this sweet season of engagement. Getting to do all my favourite things with two of my favourite people 🤍

Watching the way Spencer looks at her, laughs with her, and loves her makes my heart so happy.

Ash, you deserve every bit of this happiness. Thank you for trusting me to capture such a beautiful chapter of your story. I love you so much, and I can’t wait to stand beside you in six months. 🤍

The ultimate girlhood of all!
Most of us picture the maternity session with our husband and/or other kids. However- when you and your besties get to all be pregnant together you absolutely must book that session to capture this once in a lifetime magic 🤍

What a dream it is to get to be a part of days like these. Pure joy, sunlight, and love.
Not to mention- I got to do all of my favourite things at this wedding- photography, videography, hair and makeup with the coolest group of people 🫶🏽

Part one of this engagement session was done right in their home with the spring light flooding through the windows and the tire swing waiting outside.

The kind of session that makes me want to photograph people exactly as they are and not hold back.

Bridesmaid dress colours can completely change the look and feel of your wedding photos. Colour theory matters way more than people realize!

One of the first things I think about as a wedding photographer is how your bridal party colours will photograph against your venue backdrop.
• Beach wedding? Soft neutrals can disappear into the sand and sky
• Forest wedding? Sage or dark green may blend right into the trees
• City or golf club wedding? You usually have more flexibility and contrast to play with

The goal is always for the couple to stand out most while your bridal party colours support the overall vibe and photograph beautifully together.

If you’re stuck choosing bridesmaid dress colours for your wedding, this is your sign to think beyond trends and start thinking about your location, season, lighting, and overall aesthetic together.

My first wedding of 2026 🤍

Melina + Bryce were married at Fantasy Farm and despite a full day of rain, these two truly could not have cared less. They were just so excited to finally be husband and wife and honestly… it made the whole day feel so light and happy!

This was also my first time shooting at Fantasy Farm and I totally get why people love it there. The venue has such a unique tucked-away-in-nature feeling while still being right in Toronto, and the ceremony + reception spaces photograph so beautifully even on darker rainy days. The staff were amazing too!

Also extra meaningful for me because this wedding was covered by both Daarssen Photography and Daarssen Beauty 🤍 Getting to be part of both sides of a wedding day always feels really extra lucky!

2026 wedding season is officially underway and I genuinely could not be more excited for all the stories I get to document this year.

Summer always feels long… but somehow it’s over in a blink.

The kids change, life moves, and you realize you don’t have enough photos from this stage.

That’s why I offer these summer sessions—short, easy, and in really beautiful spots so it doesn’t feel like a stressful event but rather a fun summer memory that can live on on the walls of your home 🤍
