Airports + weddings = a combo that can go from exciting to “oh no” real quick if you’re not prepared. Here’s how to skip the stress before you take off:
✨ Lose the card box. As you can see in this video, we’ve dragged one through airport security, stuffed it into an overhead bin, and watched it collect exactly two cards on the wedding day. Not worth it. Instead, ask a family member to keep cards safe, or let guests know they can give them once you’re back home - easier and safer.
✨ Wear your rings while you travel. Some countries will flag them if they’re in your bag instead of on your hand. Don’t love the idea of wearing them before you’re married? Totally fair. Just keep receipts, appraisals, or declaration forms handy and 👏🏼 double-check customs rules before you go 👏🏼
✨ Carry on your wedding outfit. Luggage gets lost. Flights get delayed. What shouldn’t happen is your dress/suit going on a detour without you. Keep it in your carry-on, along with accessories (shoes, jewelry, even the right underwear). Future you just might thank you.
