Blending two distinct cultures into one seamless wedding design is one of my favorite challenges as a designer. It’s all about creating visual harmony without losing the soul of either tradition.

Here are 4 ways we approach designing multi-cultural celebrations:

1. Anchor with a Neutral Palette: We use a cohesive base color palette to tie together rich, contrasting cultural elements or textiles so the room feels intentional, not chaotic.

2. Create Dedicated Focal Points: Instead of trying to mash every tradition into one table setting, we give distinct rituals or cultural elements their own hero installations or designated spaces.

3. Blend Textures, Not Just Colors: Mixing traditional motifs through subtle tactile details—like custom draping, patterned linens, or unexpected floral pairings—feels modern and elevated.

4. Tell a Unified Visual Story: Every design choice should bridge both backgrounds, reflecting who you are together as a couple.

Throwing it back to one of our favorite trend builds for Pinterest Careers! 🌿 Vintage nostalgia met bold visual styling with the ultimate summer party.
We brought this retro trend to life with a few standout details:

Interactive Play: Indoor astroturf croquet lawn and vintage tabletop games.

Retro Treats: An umbrella-covered root beer float station.

Custom Swag & DIY: Beaded cell phone straps, sunglass chains, and custom crochet water bottle holders.

Who said winter accessory displays have to be neutral? 🌈✨

We built these custom arch walls to give this winter hat collection the bold, pop-art display it deserves. Layered backdrop panels, high-contrast color blocks, and perfectly spaced grid hooks make restocking (and shopping!) effortless.

When I found this solid campaign-style desk on Facebook Marketplace, I fell in love with the brass hardware and unique legs—it had incredible bones for our basement Airbnb suite, but that heavy, dark reddish-brown finish needed to go!

Stripping back that thick, glossy factory varnish turned into a serious test of patience. The internet hyped up the “chemical stripper + plastic wrap” method, but it completely flopped on this stubborn finish! I had to pivot to straight heavy-duty stripper, followed by hours of relentless sanding to get down to the gorgeous raw wood grain underneath.

Once I had a clean slate, the transformation came together:

1. The Base Tone: Applied a fresh stain to bring out the natural wood grain structure.

2. The White Wash: Layered on a soft white wash to give it a bright, modern, airy feel.

3. The Velvet Finish: Sanded it down with a fine-grit pad until it felt buttery smooth.

4. The Final Polish: Sealed it with a durable topcoat to withstand guest use and polished up those iconic recessed brass handles and corner brackets before reinstalling them.

You bring the guest list; we’ll bring the wild. 🌿👑

Planning a milestone like a first birthday shouldn't feel like a second job. At REVEL Creative, we specialize in taking your initial "Wild Thing" spark and fueling it through to the final, polished creation.

1️⃣ The Dessert Table Feature: More than just a place for cake, we styled a focal point using custom textures and tiered displays that turned the sweets into a visual feast.

2️⃣ The Photo Backdrop: We designed a custom paper cone installation that served as the perfect frame for every family photo. Each cone conceptualized as the "wild things" coarse hair.....

3️⃣ Bespoke Picnic tablesettings: We brought the focus down to toddler height by creating a luxury picnic table set up for baby and guests. This simple change of focal point turns a simple meal into a conversation piece and experience.

Where vintage soul meets vibrant tradition. ✨🧡

Urvashi and Zach’s celebration was a beautiful collision of worlds—a mixed Canadian and Indian wedding that felt both incredibly grand and deeply personal.

Designing for a fusion wedding is about finding the "connective tissue" between cultures. For this day, we leaned into an Old World Vintage aesthetic, anchored by the rich, sun-drenched palette of corals, oranges, and marigolds.

The REVEL Design Highlights:

🍊 The Tropical Tablescape: We moved beyond standard florals, incorporating lush tropical fruits into the centerpieces to add texture and a "living" element to the tables.

🕯️ Vintage Relics: We sourced and styled Indian relics and brass accents to ground the design in heritage, giving the reception a curated, "collected over time" feel.

🌸 The Statement Mandap: The ceremony featured a bright, high-impact mandap that served as a floral sanctuary—proving that you can use bold color while still maintaining an air of vintage elegance.

This is what happens when you aren't afraid of color and you respect the history behind the celebration.

When the designer becomes the bride, the rules go out the window. 🇨🇷🌅

For my own wedding in Costa Rica, I didn’t want a "cookie-cutter" tropical aesthetic. I wanted to design a dialogue between the architecture of the trees and the fleeting magic of the Pacific sunset.

As a designer, I’m often asked for "more flowers," but for my own day, I opted for restraint and intentionality. I didn’t need florals everywhere—I needed one grand, standout piece that commanded the space.

The Design Narrative:
✨ The Sunset as a Feature: Every element of the layout was timed and angled to ensure the sunset wasn't just a backdrop, but a guest of honor.

✨ The Hanging Installation: I used the massive, sprawling trees as a natural armature for a floating floral installation.

✨ The Texture Contrast: Instead of competing with the lush, green jungle, I chose dried leaves and architectural foliage. The golden, skeletal textures stood out sharply against the vibrant landscape, creating a tension that felt both modern and timeless.

I designed the vision and the florals, and I’m so grateful to the local team who helped me bring this "Wild Minimalist" dream to life. It was a reminder that when you ask what’s truly important, you find the magic.

In a city that never stops, your brand needs to stand out.

Our Brand Activation for the Urban Skin launch was all about creating a high-energy, immersive environment that reflected the product’s DNA: fresh, protective, and unmistakably "Urban."

When we design a Product Launch, we aren't just decorating; we are executing a visual strategy. Here is how we brought the Urban Skin line to life:

1️⃣ Strategic Visual Merchandising: We used a high-contrast palette of neon greens and crisp whites to mirror the product packaging. From custom acrylic displays to curated gift bags, every element was designed to be "scroll-stopping."

2️⃣ Interactive Touchpoints: We integrated clean, modern lounging areas with lush greenery to represent the "detox" nature of the line. It’s that balance of industrial and organic that keeps guests engaged.

3️⃣ Cohesive Brand Storytelling: From the detox mocktails by to the on-site branding, we ensured that every photo taken by an attendee was a direct advertisement for the Nivea brand.

This is Experiential Marketing at its finest—turning a product into a lifestyle moment.

There is a profound freedom in the "Intimate Wedding." When you step away from the traditional ballroom and the massive headcount, the math of your wedding changes. Suddenly, the budget isn't being "spread thin"—it’s being concentrated.

Choosing a unique, off-the-grid location like a woodland forest or a private estate opens doors that a banquet hall simply can't. Here is why I’m a huge advocate for the curated micro-wedding:
