🩷OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

I’m so happy to be supporting Sweet Expressions and the amazing things they have planned throughout October in support of breast cancer awareness and local breast cancer research. 🎀

This cause is especially close to my heart, and I’m honoured that All Blown Up can be a small part of a month focused on supporting survivors, those currently going through breast cancer, and the families who walk alongside them. 🩷

This year, Sweet Expressions has chosen to support the BRIGHT Run fundraiser, with funds being raised in support of Justin a young man who has participated in the BRIGHT Run every year since high school to help raise money for breast cancer research. What an incredible commitment to such an important cause!

There are LOTS of things happening throughout October:

🎀 Town-Wide Scavenger Hunt
The hunt begins at Sweet Expressions, where you can pick up all the details. You’ll visit participating local businesses, learn some breast cancer facts along the way, and once you complete the hunt, you’ll be entered to WIN a basket filled with goodies from all of the participating businesses! There is no cost to participate.

🎨 Paint Night-October 25
Proceeds will be donated to the fundraiser. More details coming soon!

🩷 Information & Healing Night-October 22
An evening featuring a special talk from a breast cancer survivor, along with information about local organizations and resources available to those affected by breast cancer.

🍬 Pink Jellybean Guessing Game
Stop in and guess how many pink jellybeans are in the jar!

🛍️ Fundraising Table
Shop items generously donated by local vendors, the BRIGHT Run and Sweet Expressions, with proceeds helping support the fundraiser.

There will be even more happening throughout the month, so make sure you’re following along!

Can you believe tomorrow is the first day of school 😮 where did the summer go? I’m going to miss lazy days with no schedule or routine and I certainly will miss not having to make school lunches 😭

Confession from a balloon artist 🎈😅
I broke one of my golden rules yesterday… I used Amazon balloons.
And while the garland still turned out pretty, I just wasn’t in love with it. You know when you finish something and it just doesn’t have that same look and feel you’re used to? That was me with this one.
It was a good reminder that balloon quality really does make a difference-the colours, the finish, the shape and the overall final look.
Lesson learned: stick to what you know and trust 😂🎈
Sometimes even the projects you’re not crazy about teach you something. ❤️
