We planted a limited number of sunflowers this year, and the first batch of Pro Cut Gold Lite (a fan favourite from previous years) is blooming just in time for the Ottawa Street Farmers Market market this Saturday!

It's been a different kind of growing season this year. Since our baby boy, Ernie, was due in May, we planned to take most of the summer off and planted the garden to start producing flowers and foliage starting in early September for the Ottawa Street Farmers Market market. So even though most of our crops still look green in this video taken about a week ago, they will turn into a sea of colour as we need them - yay!

3 varieties of strawflowers
Tons of eucalyptus
6 varieties of Lisianthus
Northern sea oats

Ryan couldn't help himself and harvested about 10 buckets of feverfew this week. Most we've dried, but we've got $15 small or $25 large bunches of feverfew available for pick up this weekend! DM us if you'd like some - we're right by the Chedoke Golf course in west end Hamilton :)

P.S. We're still planning to come back to the Ottawa Street Farmers Market market later this summer, but in the meantime, feel free to come to us 😀

Although we haven't been at the Ottawa Street Farmers Market market this spring, we have been growing!

We've got spotted bee balm (Monarda punctata), purple coneflower (Echinancea purpurea), and Chasmanthium latifolium (northern sea oats) plugs available for pick up. These native (first two, northern sea oats are near native) perennials are adaptable and provide beautiful cut stems.

Grown in 100% biodegradable Fertilpots. DM us to pick up - $6/plug. We're in the 100 Beddoe Drive townhouse complex 😀

We're busy planting these days! Got about 500 of our own lisianthus plugs in the ground a couple weeks ago, eucalyptus yesterday and strawflowers coming this week.
