To everyone who attended, volunteered, performed, sponsored, and supported our festival—thank you.
So much work went into making this event possible. We brought together midway rides, inflatables, horse rides, a climbing wall, food trucks, vendors, live country music and multicultural performances, and activities for the whole family. We invested heavily in promotion through flyers, online marketing, radio, newspapers, social media, and community outreach. We even offered free parking and free admission for school-aged children because we wanted this to be an event everyone could enjoy.
Then, in a matter of minutes, everything changed.
After an extremely hot day, a sudden severe storm hit. We received no tornado warning before it arrived. The storm soaked vendors, damaged tents, flooded sound equipment, and turned what had been months of planning into a situation no one could have predicted or controlled.
Despite that, something incredible happened.
Once the rain eased, many vendors reset their booths, performers and volunteers stepped up, families returned, and together we made the best of a very difficult situation. That determination and community spirit is what I'll remember most.
To every vendor who stayed, every volunteer who worked tirelessly, every performer who adapted, every sponsor who believed in us, and every person who came out to support the event—thank you. Your patience, kindness, and encouragement meant more than you know.
This year's festival didn't unfold the way any of us had hoped, but it also showed the resilience of our community. We appreciate everyone who stood with us, and we look forward to coming back even stronger next time.
