It's with a heavy heart that I must announce Dress The Dress is closing for business. I'm truly thankful for the support over the past few years. I met so many wonderful individuals and Halifax surely knows how to support local. The wedding industry here is like no other; warm, welcoming and a huge amount of talent.
This decision has been weighing heavy for almost a year (yes, a year!) when I became overwhelming busy. Many of you don't know that I work full time as a Data Analyst and I love my career. I quickly realized I couldn't do both, but I had put so much effort into Dress The Dress, I didn't dare stop. I tried to cut back on wedding shows and I basically stopped posting in my social medias, and I still set sales records. My customers word of mouth recommendations were so powerful, my brides were amazing!
Last week, I accepted a job offer with a company who cherishes data and I have a large potential for growth. It's a great opportunity for my career but, I can't continue to split my focus.
I still have many open orders, both locally and on Etsy. I will fulfill those who formally placed orders, but I cannot accept any new orders. The remaining orders will be completed within the next week.
