Meet Danielle Flynn - A true Sagittarius at heart, Danielle is always up for a new adventure, and her newest one has brought her to the Yours for the Day team as a Wedding Day Coordinator!

Originally from Cape Breton, she brings experience planning large-scale corporate events and a love for the joy and connection those moments create. She’s drawn to weddings for the same reason: being part of meaningful days that people will never forget.

With a calm, organized mindset and a big heart for celebration, she’s there to keep the day running smoothly, so couples can focus on what matters most.

By day, she works as a Marketing Manager for Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency and teaches Pilates at R Studios. Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her partner Jeremy, catching up with her girlfriends over good food, and snuggling up with her kitty Winston.

I am SO excited to share that our girl Steph is officially a certified Wedding Planner & Coordinator!! 🎉

This past winter, Steph took a leap and enrolled in the WPIC course — and just recently, she officially completed it and became a certified wedding planner. Now she’s stepping into a huge role with us this summer as Lead Wedding Coordinator and Assistant Planner 👏🏼 a promotion that’s been quietly in the works and is now official with her first wedding coming up in just a couple weeks!!!

Steph was a friend long before she ever joined YFTD. When she first came to me about trying something new, she had zero wedding experience — but she had a spark and a pull towards a completely different industry. Coming from a military background, this world was totally different for her, but she was open, curious, and ready to dive in anyway. Fast forward a year, and Steph has not only completed her WPIC certification, but she’s confidently supporting couples, running timelines, and about to lead her first wedding alongside the rest of our team. She’s my right hand, my teammate, and such a big part of what makes YFTD what it is.

And with this update comes a big shift for YFTD — one we’ve been dreaming about for a while. Steph’s new role means our team is growing. It means we have a bit more capacity on more weddings, say yes to more amazing couples, and dream a little bigger for what’s ahead.

HAPPY WEDDING WEEKEND to Mackenzie & Dylan — our first wedding of the season is here, and we’re kicking it off with a good one.

a few months ago, M & D called me up in tears after losing their venue unexpectedly and unsure of what to do next. Within days, we had a new space, a new plan, and were back in business. I’m a big believer in skipping the why-did-this-happen spiral and getting straight to what do we do next and how do we pivot.

another reason this wedding is extra special — Mackenzie’s father, Kevin, stood as best man in my father’s wedding back in the day, and they have been besties for years. that whole family holds a special place in my heart for how they continue to show up and treat mine 💛

and — you two have poured so much love and intention into your plans, and I can’t wait to bring all your hard work to life this weekend at 💃🏼

Hi friends! There are lots of new faces around here, so I figured it was time for a little re-introduction.

Welcome to YFTD Weddings. I’m Leah, the owner and lead planner. I started this business after my own wedding 3.5 years ago. YFTD actually began as a wedding and event rental company–which we quickly got out of when I realized my strength was in organization and planning, and that’s where we’ve truly thrived.

Wedding planning is so much more than just logistics–it’s about creating moments, bringing your vision to life, and making sure you feel completely at ease. My goal is to handle all the moving pieces so you can be fully present, stress-free, and soak in every moment of your day.

so, what’s been going on lately? We’ve been deep in the details, gearing up for an incredible 2025 wedding season. We’ve been busy with venue site visits, finalizing decor plans, and getting everything in place for what’s shaping up to be an unforgettable season.

We also have some BIG updates coming 👀 if you caught our branding shoot last week, you might have an idea. We’ll be sharing some team announcements very soon, and even more updates after that. If you’ve ever been interested in learning more about working with us, now is the time to reach out.

On the personal side, we’ve been in the thick of selling our condo and getting ready for a big move next month. We’ll be out of office for a couple of weeks during that transition but will be jumping right back into wedding mode as soon as we’re settled.

HAPPY International Women’s Day 💕🌸💕🫶🏼🌷

I feel so fortunate to work in an industry led by a network of passionate female entrepreneurs all putting their heart and soul into something they love (all while juggling motherhood, friends, families, side jobs, and so so much more).

today I’m reflecting on an industry that has connected me with so many other women and unlocked a creative side of me that I’d long forgotten. It’s given me a whole new sense of purpose that goes beyond just being a wife, a mother, a daughter, or a friend.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to connect with some pretty cool women who’ve reached out through DMs saying, “I love what you’re doing, and I’d love to be a part of it.” It takes so much courage to see something you’re passionate about (something you might be nervous to dive into yourself) and take that first step to reach out. I have a lot of respect for that, and it’s a pretty cool thing to witness 👏🏼

One of the wildest parts about this journey is that every time I’ve said “yes” to collaborating or supporting another woman in any way, it has created a ripple effect. the connections and opportunities that follow are genuine and lead to growth, both personally and professionally. Some have joined for a season, others for the long haul—but all of them bring something new: fresh ideas, unfiltered creativity, and an undeniable energy that fuels YFTD 🫶🏼

To the amazing women who have shaped my journey and continue to do so, thank you. I want others to feel that same excitement and fulfillment when they join this industry (or any industry!). It’s not about competition—it’s about collaboration, creativity, and celebrating each other’s success. We all have something unique to offer, and I’m grateful to be a part of a community that embraces that so openly 🤝🏼🤝🏼
