The Cedar Event Centre is centrally located at 111 Clayton Park Drive in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You can see the front of the building from Dunbrack Street. We are a 5-minute drive to Bayer’s Lake and the 102 highway, and 15 minutes to downtown Halifax. We also have 164 free parking spaces and access to street parking on adjacent streets.

We have a second floor with ten meeting rooms available for rent. Four of these rooms have floor to ceiling windows, all rooms are outfitted with tables, chairs and whiteboards. We can accommodate small events for up to 20 people (once we are back to “normal”). These can be language classes, annual general meetings or even children’s birthday parties!

In the four months we have been open, we have hosted these various events and groups:
Weddings, graduation ceremony, baptism luncheons, faith gatherings, an orchestra rehearsal, polling station, fundraising event, driving classes, meetings and two language schools every week. We have flexible event spaces for all your needs!

Who doesn’t love having natural light in their event space? These are the eight windows in Ballroom A. We have also recently installed blinds throughout the venue so you can choose to have the sunlight streaming in or not!

The Cedar Event Centre is available for rent seven days a week. We have half day and full day rates, as well as price breaks for non-profit organizations, and weekday rentals.

We are so excited to be booking our first full wedding season in 2021! We have lots of availability so if you are still looking for a venue, please contact us to set up a site visit. The vaccine rollout is so encouraging, and we hope gathering limits will be back up to 200 or more by the time we host our first spring wedding in May!

And what a rollercoaster ride the past five months have been! We really have come a long way since July and we only hope to keep getting better. Huge thanks to our CEC Committee and volunteers for being there for our clients and parishioners. We couldn’t have done it without you!

The Cedar Event Centre has four distinct rental spaces for you to pick from…a few details below.
Top Left: Ballroom A – This room has the arched windows and can fit up to 240 for a banquet at rounds of 10 with a stage and a dance floor.
