It is with great pleasure that I announce I have finally “thrown in the towel” and closed the doors of Magnolia Fine Foods and Catering. What an amazing, fun, and successful 21 years it has been, providing great service and good food to the Guelph community and beyond! I am deeply grateful for the love and support I’ve received throughout these years.
I’ve had the privilege of working with clients who are kind-hearted, generous, and warm. Equally meaningful has been the joy of working alongside my incredible staff—some for many years, others for shorter chapters—each of whom played a special role in this journey. In alphabetical order: Christel Herrick, Diane Carol Maas, Eric Walsh, Goldie Sherman, Holly Craine, Holly Parker Land, Sandra Walsh, Vicky Force, and Yvonne Weiss. Thank you, my dearest friends. Working with you has truly been the highlight of running Magnolia🙏🏼
This journey has been one of perseverance, patience, discipline, and—above all—self-discovery and dedication.
Having just turned 60 this year, saying goodbye to my beloved Magnolia feels like the greatest gift I could give myself. Letting go can be difficult, but ultimately, it is deeply freeing.
As I close this chapter of my life, I’m excited to focus more fully on my other passion: sharing my love of Yoga and Ayurveda. For the past six years, I’ve been guiding practitioners and holding space for retreats and workshops, and I look forward to continuing this work with renewed energy and intention.
The Magnolia Fine Foods and Catering page will gradually be phased out. A new page will be created under my other business name, Umwuka Yoga—“umwuka” meaning breath in the Rwandan language.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I’m truly excited to see what unfolds as I step into the third chapter of my life💜🪷🦋.
Much love and peace!
