With June right around the corner, it means we are creeping up on Summer and that means Weddings, Weddings, Weddings!!
With 8 weddings just between July & August means I am a busy bee already. I spend countless hours long before the big day conversing with brides, doing mock-ups, covering every minor detail (& keeping it all organized) so that all my clients feel like their big day encapsulates not only their visions but who they are, keeping it different from all the other couples before them.
So while I’d love to have the time to send out reminder messsges - with 18 weddings, 4 graduations, Baby Showers, Birthday parties, Galas & other events between April - November, I simply don’t have the time to!
Your contracts would state the exact day when your final balance is due by but it is also important you check to see when your deadline for changes is (typically it is 60 days but sometimes this varies based off the event type so I encourage you to verify in your contract!) Changes in your number of guests, Colors, Venue, & Timelines are crucial to let me know about before your deadline - just to ensure we can accommodate them.
I encourage Brides as they approach their big days to touch base with their vendors (especially if there’s been little to no correspondence since booking) just to confirm details & timelines!
For example; You want to make sure the venue is accessible the day prior & day after the event for setup & takedown.
If you’re having your cake delivered to the venue - you want to ensure theres going to be someone at the venue when the baker intends to deliver it.
Coordinate with your DJ to see when they plan to set up, again - ensuring someone is at the venue to give them access.
Using an outside caterer? Check in with them to see when they need to access the venue & what they may need (ie: it’s important as a decorator that I know how many tables they need for food if it’s a finger food/buffett style meal)
Following up on these things will help the day of and days leading up to the wedding go so much smoother!
