On Display: NB Design Challenge winning works!

Each year the department of Education and Early Childhood Development offers a creative challenge for students across the province. Students of all ages are invited to create original artwork that represents the vibrant cultural and linguistic diversity of our provinces schools and communities. The theme for this year's challenge was Identity. This current exhibition features several of the winning designs selected for 2025, created by students in grades K through 12.

We'd like to extend our thanks to the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development for partnering with us on celebrating these students and this important community program.

This exhibition will be on display until July 21.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night celebrate Terry Price and the opening of his new exhibition The River's Story - Reflections of Life Along the Nashwaak River. It was great to see so many new and familiar faces. A true community event! This was the first time in a while where the art on display began selling before the exhibition opened! A huge success all around.

The River's Story - Reflections of Life Along the Nashwaak River will be on display until July 21. Please make the time to stop by and enjoy these beautiful pieces.

Exhibition Opening Tonight!

This week welcomes a diverse range of art to our gallery walls. Our first major exhibition of the summer season - The River's Story: Reflections of life along the Nashwaak River - features 20 new, original paintings by Fredericton painter Terry Price. All the pieces featured in this new collection were inspired by the endless summer days and nights Terry and his family have spent at the their camp on the shores of the Nashwaak.

In the Penny Gallery we will be displaying some recent work created by participants of our spring Linocut Printmaking class (instructed by Andrew Robinson) and our Telling Stories in Gouache and Watercolour class (instructed by Eva Christensen). Finally, in the adjacent annex gallery space we will be displaying many of the winning works created through the 2025 Design Challenge, a program led by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Now in its fourth year, the Design Challenge encourages New Brunswick children and youth to create art based on a theme. This year's theme was Identity, and these artists really knocked it out of the park. Come check it all out.

Join us for the opening reception on Thursday June 19 from 5-7 p.m. Everyone welcome.
