πŸŽ‰ One year of Capital Collector's Market β€” and we're so glad to be the place they call home for it!

On Saturday, September 19, our doors at 28 Saunders Street will open wide as Capital Collector's Market celebrates its first anniversary right here at The Cultural Centre. From 10AM to 3PM, our space fills with collectors, hobbyists, and curious first-timers β€” and there's little we love more than watching our building buzz with community like this.

Here's a peek at what the day holds:

🎨 A Warhammer figure painting session hosted by Nerdful Things from Moncton

πŸƒ Trading cards, comics, vinyl, video games, collectibles & more

🎟️ A 50/50 draw and giveaways

πŸ’™ $2 admission β€” with $1 from every ticket going to the Multicultural Association of Fredericton

That last part means a lot to us. Every visitor who walks through the door is also giving back to an organization whose work sits close to our own commitment to honouring our stories and celebrating our diversity.

Whether you're hunting for a specific piece, rediscovering an old hobby, or simply curious to see what's out there, come spend the day with us.

β˜€οΈ Enjoy your weekend, Fredericton!

Hard to believe we're already into August. And if there's one thing August signals, it's this: fall is closer than it looks β€” which makes right now the perfect time to lock in a venue for your autumn events.

Our Multipurpose Room gives you 3,700 square feet of wide-open, light-filled space that's really only limited by your imagination. Over the past year alone, this room has hosted business networking nights, panel discussions, trade shows, community fairs, cultural celebrations, elegant sit-down dinners, and just about everything in between.

Conference by day, gala by night? We've seen it. A multicultural food festival with tables lining every wall? Done. A polished banquet under draped ceilings? That too.

Whatever you're dreaming up this fall β€” a fundraiser, a conference, a celebration, a market, a milestone β€” we'd love to help you bring it to life at 28 Saunders Street.

Happy New Brunswick Day! πŸŒ…

This first Monday in August, we pause to celebrate the province we're proud to call home β€” its rivers and trails, its small towns and busy downtowns, and above all, the people from every corner of the world who make New Brunswick what it is.

Here in Fredericton, that spirit lives along the Wolastoq β€” the "beautiful and bountiful river" β€” from a sunrise ride across the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge to the countless stories, languages, and traditions shared in our community every day.

As we mark this day, we acknowledge that Fredericton sits on the traditional, unceded and unsurrendered territory of the Wolastoqiyik. New Brunswick is the shared homeland of the Wolastoqiyik, Mi'kmaq, and Peskotomuhkati peoples, whose relationship with these lands reaches back since time immemorial. We honour their stewardship, their stories, and their ongoing presence.

Please note: The Cultural Centre is closed Monday, August 3 in observance of New Brunswick Day.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful long weekend. πŸ’™

The long weekend is here β€” and Monday is New Brunswick Day! 🌿

As we head into the weekend, we're getting ready to celebrate the province we're proud to call home, and the many people, cultures, and stories that shape it.

New Brunswick has always been a place of many voices. From the Indigenous peoples who have cared for this land since time immemorial, to Acadian and Anglophone communities, to newcomers arriving from every corner of the world β€” our province is at its best when all of those stories are honoured and shared.

That belief is at the heart of everything we do at The Cultural Centre. And heading into a weekend like this, we want to say thank you.

Thank you to the tenant organizations, community groups, volunteers, and neighbours who fill this building with music, food, colour, and connection all year long. You are the reason this is a space for community, connection, and celebration.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful long weekend, Fredericton β€” and a happy New Brunswick Day on Monday. πŸ’™

Need a room this summer? We've got one β€” and for community organizations, the timing couldn't be better. πŸ—“οΈ

The Cultural Centre now has a 375 sq ft boardroom available to book, seven days a week. It seats up to 25 around a single large table, with good natural light, a projector and screen, and a Bluetooth speaker on hand β€” ideal for board meetings, staff planning days, committee sessions, small trainings, and interviews.

We know meeting space is one of those quiet line items that's hard to budget for. So for the rest of the summer, we're offering reduced rates for non-profit and community organizations in the Capital Region.

You'll find us at 28 Saunders Street with ample on-site parking and full accessibility.

If your organization needs a space β€” or you know a group that does β€” reach out to Marc at [email protected] and we'll sort out availability and details.

Come share your thoughts on the future of Wilmot Park! 🌲

Wednesday, July 29
Time: 4:30 - 7:00 PM
Location: Wilmot Park

This summer we’re asking residents for feedback on proposed upgrades to the Wilmot Park playground and Stepping Stone Seniors Centre courtyard.

The City intends to update the existing play area by creating an accessible, family-oriented recreation destination that strengthens links between existing play amenities and encourages multi-generational use of the park.

Initially established in 2017, the Wilmot Park Improvements Plan provides a long-term vision for one of Fredericton’s most loved public spaces. πŸ’›
