WHAT A GORGEOUS DAY FOR A WEDDING!
A beautiful sunny day provided the perfect backdrop for this wonderful celebration. ☀️

Our couple travelled from Quebec to say "I do," and what a memorable day it was. The bride's dress was absolutely breathtaking, and they couldn't have looked more perfect together.

RHYMING NAMES, BICYCLES & LUMBERJACK SHIRTS… NEVER A DULL DAY AT THE LITTLE LOG WEDDING CHAPEL!

Our first couple arrived on bicycles!
The bride wore a “Bride” shirt and hat, and the groom matched with a “Groom” shirt and hat - fun, relaxed, and smiling the whole time. Then they went for a bicycle ride down the beautiful Niagara Parkway and lunch at the Lighthouse Restaurant (right near us).

Our second couple had the most unforgettable names!
Kevin and Seven! Yes, Seven is really her name. Her mom was a hippie and named her Seven Rainbow.

Our third couple showed up in matching lumberjack shirts!
They met at work (she is his boss - we said "at work and now also at home" lol) and they looked absolutely perfect together.

This is what we love most about intimate elopements, couples can relax, have fun, and make the day completely their own. No pressure, no expectations, just love, laughter, and celebrating in a way that feels authentic to them.

COLD HANDS, WARM VOWS AND ZERO DRAMA

Nicci and Will actually emailed us this a few days before the wedding saying "This has actually been a very stress FREE event! Doing small and intimate has been a really great experience."

They kept things simple and fun with an intimate elopement at Elope Niagara, surrounded by 10 of their favourite people (yes, grandma included). They said “I do” in our cozy heated chapel, then stepped out into the crisp air for photos around the property including the deck overlooking the water.

A little chill, a lot of laughs, great moods, no complaints, no big production, no stress, just a really good day with really good people. Bonus points for dinner plans at a five star restaurant waiting at the end for the whole group.

Proof you don’t need a huge guest list to have a great time, just the right crew and a couple who knows how to enjoy it.

BRIDE FROM CHILE, MARRIED ON ONE OF CANADA’S COLDEST DAYS!

From the warmth of Chile to the chill of a Canadian winter, this love story has travelled far. They first met up north on the French River, where paths crossed and sparks flew. Later, he followed his heart all the way to Chile, spending a summer together in Patagonia.

All of that led them right here: to our little log wedding chapel, on one of the coldest days of the year. Frosty air and a whole lot of love keeping everyone warm. Proof that when it’s the right person, even the coldest day feels just right.

There’s something magical about winter weddings! It might be snowing, it might be sunny, but our cozy log chapel is always perfect. No crowds. No summer heat. No sweating through vows. Just you two or with a few guests, great photos, and a day that actually feels easy. Snowy backdrops, rustic wood, winter light and yes, sometimes frozen lashes, red noses, or a stylish toque. Simple, meaningful, and a little bit fun. Winter might just be your season to say "I do."

BORN IN GHANA & ZIMBABWE, −17°C WEDDING DAY, BRIDE WANTED SNOW
Well they definitely got their snow! Born in Zimbabwe and Ghana, their story is a celebration of culture, family, and the blending of traditions. They met unexpectedly after a fun night out, one of those unplanned moments that ended up changing everything. On their wedding day, the cold and wind made themselves known, freezing his beard and turning her eyelashes into tiny snowballs… but they toughed it out and check out her beautiful veil!

WHAT BEGAN AT A NORTH BAY HOSPICE BECAME A LOVE WORTH CELEBRATING IN NIAGARA FALLS

Our lovely couple are from North Bay, and came to Niagara Falls to get married. Their paths first crossed at North Bay Hospice during a very personal chapter in their lives, as both of their moms were there at the same time. From that shared moment, something meaningful began and led to saying their I Do's at our little wedding chapel. They brought their pictures of their mom's with them too.

Their Cowichan sweaters tell a fun part of the story too. The groom already had his and surprised his partner with one on their wedding day. Hand-knit on Vancouver Island and made for real Canadian winters - they were the perfect fit for a cozy winter wedding.

IF THIS WAS A ROM-COM MOVIE…

It would be called “Planes, Trains, and One Determined Groom.”

Nothing can stop a determined groom, not even flight cancellations and a 14-hour bus ride!

Stationed in Virginia with the Canadian Armed Forces, he fought against the odds (and the weather) to get home for his wedding. After his flight was postponed twice, then cancelled, he hopped on a bus for a 14 hour ride and made it back just in time, the bride scooped him up at midnight before the big day!

And yes, they made it in time to say “I do.” That's true love, military pride and dedication for you. They are off to a great start!
