Arie & Jared: the celebration.

The anticipation for this celebration was intense and wholehearted. Just like everything else Arie & Jared do, you could say.

They got married in January 2020 on the beaches of Washington state and planned to celebrate with their friends and family in Canada soon. Well, they had a little longer to plan the celebration than they expected, but they used that time wisely by getting even more jacked at

mentioned to me at their reception, ‘I’ve never seen so many muscles at one wedding,’ and I might just have to agree with him.

So naturally, their day began with a stop at before renewing their vows in front of their family and friends, and then absolutely throwing it down on the dancefloor to more 2000’s punk rock than I’ve ever witnessed on a dancefloor.

It was epic from start to finish. I ugly cried. It was an honour I can’t quite describe being able to document the wedding day of some of my dearest friends.

Sara & Brett’s wedding week was laid back, fun, full of love, and busting with colour. The colours were so vibrant I swear I started to feel them.

Blue and green hues kept turning up all week. From Sara’s blue bathing suit that matched the blue waters they were cliff jumping into. To the green of her ring (and her eyes) that mimicked the green tone of the lake they paddled in on their wedding day. The natural blues and greens were truly some of the most delicious eye candy!

And don’t even get me started on their florals from .bc Sara said she wanted ‘lots of colourful flowers,’ and that’s exactly what Desiree delivered!

The mascot of the week, their adorable dog, Teddy, was the sweetest addition as well. He happily greeted guests and watched his Mom and Dad get married among the mountains.

Sara & Brett hired a fully local, fully female vendor team, which was such a fun touch! It was a pleasure to work with all these lovely ladies and bring their Fernie wedding week together!

A wedding weekend that was full of personality, fun, love, support and good times from start to finish. I’m so grateful I was able to witness and document it all. New obsession: wedding weekends (because one day just isn’t enough, it goes by too damn quickly!)

It was such a pleasure working with them both, helping them create the wedding weekend perfect for them. From the welcome BBQ at the cabin, to the wedding day on top of the world, they planned their Fernie wedding weekend perfectly just for them. Congrats you two, it truly felt just like a Fernie fairytale ✨

A day that gave us everything. Rain and a golden sunset. Tears of joy and tears from laughter. Quiet, emotional moments and loud, fun filled moments. Plus a very wiggly, excited puppy to help celebrate! Everything you could hope for and more on a wedding day.

And, of course, all the vendors behind the scenes pulling it all together into a perfect day as well.

Alysan and Adam. These two are a force to be reckoned with. They have impeccable style and had a vision for every detail of their wedding day.

This was a wedding day that required every wedding vendor to collaborate and bring their A-game, which was exactly what happened.

Not only did it look So. Effing. Good. It was also a ton of fun the whole way through.

I wish I could link an audio clip from for this post. Those three ladies were THE most badass addition to a wedding day that I’ve witnessed yet.

Michelle & Sam’s wedding day was the perfect mixture of everything you hope a wedding day will be.

Beautiful, emotional moments. Fun, laugh your ass off moments. Serendipitous moments like the rain starting to fall only as Michelle walked down the aisle, to a SONG that talked about the rain falling. A sweaty dancefloor that didn’t quit until the very last song (I was there to witness it firsthand). And of course, love.

So. Much. Love. Not only the love between Sam & Michelle (which was so effortless and inspirational btw) but also the love stories between friends, family, and the glue that holds them all together, maple syrup 🍁

Still dreaming about this summer elopement in Iceland—two brides, a waterfall backdrop straight out of a movie, and the kind of connection that gives you goosebumps.

We hiked, we laughed, we got soaked (in the best way), and it was all so worth it. Iceland will always have a piece of my heart, and I’d go back in a heartbeat.

I am still trying to wrap my head around how beautiful this fall was/still is. This engagement session with J&R was intensely gorgeous and on one of the last truly warm days where tank tops were not only tolerable but preferable.
