We have some changes we would like to make this year and would appreciate your feedback this week before we post the 2026 applications.
Please take a moment this week to fill out the Google form below and share your thoughts. Point form comments would be ideal.

Once the feedback has been gone through, considered and either implemented, postponed or rejected we are hoping to get the applications posted by Friday January 16. The application link will be emailed to past vendors when it is ready and will be posted on our website at the same time.

The Cogs & Clockwork - Fergus Steampunk Festival is dedicated to celebrating the vibrant artistry and innovative spirit of the steampunk community. We are committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and equitable environment where creativity flourishes. Our festival provides a platform for all forms of art, encouraging the exchange of ideas and collaboration among artists, enthusiasts, and visionaries from all walks of life.

Looks like there will be no rain but could be some wind so make sure you bring your tent weights. We have changed the entrance time to 7am for those who get this post. That should be around half the vendors.

Vendors will be able to enter the show space at 7:30 and should have vehicles and all trailers out of the show by 9:30.
Show ends at 5pm
We will be supplying 2 slices of pizza and a soft drink around 1pm
Volunteers will be available to assist with unloading and some tent set-up.
I will be part of the set-up team so if you have questions that volunteers can’t answer, I will be around with a walkie talkie.
Once your tent is up and vehicle is emptied please move it to the vendor parking areas as quickly as you can. When parking to unload be sure to leave space for other vehicles to pass. You can park for free at Exclestones, or the curling club.there are two closer spots that are $10 for the day.
If you haven’t sent your COI please do so today. Vendors without insurance will not be able set-up.
We are doing a scavenger hunt bingo this year. if you would like to participate please have a small item for loot bag donations when one of our volunteers comes by to give you your poster. This will be closer to 10am.
Each entrance will have a volunteer directing to your space. If your booth number is between 1 and 36 then you should come in through the Tower st. Entrance. If your number is between 37 and 62 then you should be coming in through the st. David entrance. All Menzies Lane booths should come in Menzies Lane entrance which is just north of the St. David street bridge.

Please be patient with volunteers as they are supporting our event with renumeration.

We have gotten a booth in the Community Zone at Fan Expo this year and are looking for some booth assistance. Anyone who can assist please email me at [email protected].

There are still some non-VIP tickets to Steam Powered Giraffe so please promote that as well as everything else steampunk.

He had intended to send out post cards to each of you but that was when Canada post was questionable and we have decided that we will need them for FAN EXPO Canada.
FanExpo is Aug. 21 to the 24th so please indicate which days you could volunteer assuming you can.

Our final selections for vendors for the 2025 show have been completed. If you have received your letter of acceptance or your booth invoice then welcome back or aboard.
As a reminder, Cogs & Clockwork tries to have 20% new booths starting this year so that our guests have new reasons to return each show.

If each of you could pay your invoices, we could remove that for our to-do list.

For those who applied but were not accepted, it possible that we have closer to show cancellations. Should this happen we will let you know.

As part of our vendor package this year everyone will receive two Cogs & Clockwork pins to help remind everyone about this years date.

We are presently finishing up our application judging, so if you have heard back yet, please be patient we are working as diligently as possible to ensure that our vendor selection is varried. Just a reminder, we endeavour to have 20% new booths each year so don’t take it personally if you are not accepted this year.

New for this year:
Robot Races
New times: 10am to 5pm (though we like an evening event, we can’t seem to get people to stay late)
Steam Powered Giraffes will be at the Grand Theatre
Possibly a steampunk d&d session
We will be having a centralized food court for our food vendors

Before the show we will be doing workshops, steampunk trivia nights and other promotional events.

Hoping to get to Fan Expo this year to hand our information

Official Acceptance letters will begin being sent out beginning of April
which will include post card packages and other vendor goodies.
If you were one of the vendors from last year and I handed you an “I’ll be at” display sign, consider yourself accepted. Please display the sign at other events you might be doing before Cogs.
