We’re Alberta Bike Swap and we provide a safe place to buy, sell, and donate bicycles. If you have a bike to sell or want to buy a bike we’ll tech check that bike and run the serial number to verify bike ownership because no one wants a stolen bike.

We are having a bike drive for Sport Central at the bike swap event - all outgrown or unused bikes would be greatly appreciated for this great local charity.

Yes, we have children's bikes because it helps families.

We run our events with volunteers where you'll be treated like gold, get first dibs on one bike, and be fed well. https://albertabikeswap.ca/volunteer/

📣 Save the date for Lynnwood Fall Festival - September 20, 3-8 pm.

The Lynnwood Fall Festival is a go! 🤩 Neighbours and friends are invited to come out and celebrate our community, with plenty of activities planned. Our popular used book sale and bake sale are back, and our creative team always hits the mark with the craft projects.

🍁 This year, we hope to introduce some classic field-day games to keep the kids busy. With our beloved park being disassembled to make way for a new park, we’re trying something new: live music in the rink, billed as Drinks in the Rink.

😎 Come out, grab a drink, and be amazed by the five-piece band starting at 5:30. This group is made up of incredible players who’ve been friends for years; they love playing together, and we get to enjoy all the benefits of their reunion.

Supporting community events is one of the ways to build a strong vibrant community. Drop by and say hello! 👋

Crime Prevention For the Community, By the Community

The Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch Program Society (ENW) warmly invites you to participate in the upcoming Walk Your Block Week 2025, running from Sunday, August 17 to Sunday, August 23, 2025.

This city-wide initiative is designed to foster community engagement and enhance
neighbourhood safety. Whether it’s a quick morning stroll or an evening walk with your pet, your presence alone can help deter crime, increase community awareness, and foster a stronger sense of connection between neighbours. You also have a chance to win a prize.

Why Participate?

Participating in Walk Your Block Week has several benefits, including:
● Strengthening the bonds within your community.
● Increased visibility and engagement which can reduce crime.
● Familiarization with your neighbourhood, recognize unusual activities, noticing things like burnt-out street lights, graffiti, or property damage and know who to contact.
● Stay fit and mentally alert through regular walking.

DO NOT PUT YOURSELF IN HARM’S WAY. CALL 911 IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY

How You Can Get Involved:
● Participate in Walk Your Block Week alone, with friends and family.
● Promote Walk Your Block Week. Share information about the event with your members through newsletters, social media, and community boards.
● Organize Local Walks. Encourage local residents to organize and participate in
neighbourhood walks during the Walk Your Block Week.
● Plan and Host a community event or gathering to coincide with Walk Your Block Week, such as a neighbourhood meet-up or safety workshop.

As in previous years, you can enter to WIN A PRIZE by tagging us at on your social media story or post or by directly emailing us a photo or video of yourself taking a stroll!

To confirm your participation, donate a prize, invite us to your Walk Your Block Week event or find out more information, please contact Ade Abiona at [email protected] or call (780) 433-7458 by August 13, 2024 or visit our website at www.enwatch.ca.

By simply showing up, you’re making your neighbourhood a safer and stronger place.

Walk Your Block isn’t just about safety, it’s about connection, pride, and prevention. Let’s step out, connect, and protect our neighbourhoods one block at a time!

If you are unsure who to contact for a non-emergency situation, refer to our “Who Should You Call?” sheet below for guidance.
