What happens when funding isn’t personal… it’s political?

In the Secret Agent, the agenda isn’t hidden, it’s systemic. 🇧🇷

When powerful people cannot profit from your work, they don’t just walk away. They define it. They dismantle it. And sometimes … they come for you.

And this isn’t just a film analysis.
This is happening in real time, across research, film and creative industries.

🎥 Between the Secret Agent and Frankenstein (see previous video) we see two stories, with two founders and two hidden agendas.

The real question is:
Which is more dangerous: the one who funds you, or the one who shuts you down?

Which funder do you find more dangerous? ⚠️

Drop your answer below: Harlander or Ghirotti?

Spoiler: Not all funding is good funding.

Some money 💰 comes with … consequences.

Our Oscar film feature continues with the funding stories that built award-winning conflict.

🎥 In Frankenstein, scientist Victor learns the hard way the price of “easy” money.

Question: Is there a grant available for innovative death-defying science? 🧪

A creative father hires a famous actress to replace his own daughter in his passion project film.
Smart funding move? Yes. 👍
Worth it if it destroys his family? 😳… watch Sentimental Value.

The Oscar winner for best International Film follows a story that explains a real dilemma in creative funding: What happens when you chase the money and lose the soul of your project?

We broke down the strategy, the family drama and the lesson every filmmaker (and creative) needs to hear.

💬 Have you ever compromised your vision to get funded?

Or have you watched someone else do it? Drop it in the comments, let’s discuss 💬

Plot twist: The Oscars are just ten good films about funding problems. 🏆

We watched them all. Found the pattern. Now, Fund Me, Lola is breaking down what key characters should’ve done differently.

Because great cinema teaches us great lessons if you know where to look.

This is going to be good. 🎬✨

What do you have faith for?

With the conclusion of our Giving Tuesday series, we end with an opportunity to give to an organization that is rooted in Faith; Cornerstone Christian Church of God.

Now entering their 11th year, faith has bought CCCG a new building, created a pre-school, launched a Christian meditation movement, self-published several books, purchased 153 acres of land and now brings the Bethel initiative.

Bethel isn’t just a building. It’s a faith-filled step towards creating a hub where destines are shaped, leaders are developed and real community change is cultivated.

Be a part of something and give today.

Sickle cell wasn’t always a reality I understood. My dad mentioned it when I was younger, but it wasn’t until I learned about its impact that I realized how crucial awareness is.

shared a powerful story with us about a young woman who lived with sickle cell for 18 years without meeting someone who understood her struggles. Finding community with NotJustYou changed everything for her.

What I admire is Ufuoma’s dedication to creating a supportive space driven by her personal experiences. This Giving Tuesday, we’re proud to highlight NotJustYou and the life-changing work they do!

12/02/2025

Today we’re spotlighting NotJustYou, a Sickle Cell Support Organization founded by Ufuoma Muhwhen while she was still a university student. Five years later, her commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease has grown into a national movement of care, advocacy, and hope.

✨ NJY’s Mission:
To build an accessible, uplifting support network that educates, motivates, and celebrates sickle cell warriors and their families.

✨ A Recent Milestone:
NotJustYou recently launched a powerful new mental health partnership, offering free, culturally aware therapy for participants in their Cells program. This long-awaited expansion reflects their belief that mental health is essential to whole-person care — and it’s transforming how sickle cell support looks in Canada.

✨ Impact Across Canada:
In 2025, their Bright Program reached all 10 provinces, delivering care packages filled with essential items, comfort, and encouragement during some of the hardest moments of someone’s health journey. As they prepare to bring Bright back in 2026, they’re raising funds to restock supplies and expand distribution.

This Giving Tuesday, here’s how you can support NotJustYou:

1️⃣ Follow & share their great content to spread awareness
2️⃣ Give a financial donation
3️⃣ Volunteer with their team
4️⃣ Donate blood products
5️⃣ Get screened for sickle cell trait

Let’s uplift this incredible organization and help ensure sickle cell warriors across Canada continue receiving the care, visibility, and support they deserve. ❤️✨

Did you know, at some high schools in Calgary, 11% of teens have never been on a bike?

believes a bike is more than just a mode of transportation—it’s a gateway to freedom, confidence, and connection.

In one junior high class, an adaptive student who rarely enjoyed gym was unsure about trying the bike. Non-verbal and hesitant to remove her beloved kitty-ear headband, she paused… then gently handed her ears to her aide. With a helmet on, she pedalled almost instantly — circling the gym with the biggest smile! Teachers said it was the first time all year she took off her ears. A huge win, and a beautiful reminder of what mobility can unlock.

This is exactly what inspired founder Laura Shutiak to start this organization.

Join this Giving Tuesday in increasing their impact! Every donation made towards their Giving Tuesday campaign will be MATCHED thanks to a donor!

Let’s keep kids moving toward freedom and possibility. 💙🚴‍♀️
