Today Canadians Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day, and June is National Indigenous History Month. Today is a special day recognizing and celebrating the cultures and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Indigenous peoples of Canada. First celebrated in 1996.
