A couple of years ago I was hired to make a wedding dress for a historical reenactment event. It occurred to me that, to make it more versatile, I'd make a couple of extra bodices and bustles. Here, at last, are the finished looks. It is the same skirt for all three looks, with different bodices and accessories. A huge thank-you to the wonderfully talented Katie for modelling.

A huge "Thank-you" to the wonderful staff of Mastermind Toys in Windermere. When it became obvious that the Canada Day events could not possibly happen outside, they invited our face-painters to work inside the store. They quickly made room, and continued to be friendly and supportive all day. Know that your kindness is appreciated.

We're celebrating Dominion Day in style. Who better to represent the Dominion than the person who signed the document making Canada a country? Yes, Her Majesty Queen Victoria will be in attendance at the Strathcona County Pancake Breakfast from 9:00 am - noon, and at the Muttart Conservatory from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
We are amused.

The story is about a fundraiser event for the building of Edmonton's first hospital. As usual, we weave elements of Edmonton's history with some fictional characters and situations.
