Hi! It’s me, Becky Chatwin of “Rebecca Chatwin Events and Design”. I was born and raised in Salisbury, NB and will forever be a small town girl at heart (which I didn’t fully realize until I got older). I moved to St. Albert, AB ten years ago, met my husband, and now call this “home.” Working as the pipe and drape sales/rentals manager for a company in Edmonton introduced me to the event industry. I have worked with many great planners over the past nine years designing and setting up pipe and drape. I have always known I wanted to become a planner myself. I love going above and beyond for customers creating visuals for them to see what drapery can do in a space. I have also been in the hospitality industry my entire working life, from bartending to serving to even catering a few times. I love to serve people and being part of the craziness that is the hospitality industry. I decided to take the leap over the past year and have since have taken my Event Management Certification through Mount Royal University and my Wedding Planning Certification through WPIC. I am also Equally Wed Certified! Yay! I wouldn't say I liked school growing up, and thought going back to school as an adult would be dreadful. It was a lot more complicated, I will say, with a full-time job and bills to pay. But when you LOVE something, and it is your PASSION, learning is fun and exciting! I am so excited to work with amazing people like you, creating unique, exciting and fun events!
