The Heavenly GPS

A man was driving through a tiny town and realized he was totally lost. He saw a sweet old lady sitting on her porch and decided to ask her for directions to Heaven.

He said, “Excuse me, ma’am, can you tell me how to get to Heaven?”

She looked him up and down, smiled kindly, and said, “Well, sugar, it’s pretty simple. Just follow the main road until you see the cross, then turn left. Keep going straight, and you’ll see the gates.”

He nodded and started walking. After a while, he realized he was still wandering around, so he bowed his head and prayed, “Lord, I need some help here!”

Suddenly, a bright light shone down from the sky, and he heard a booming voice say, “You’re close! Just keep walking straight — and don’t forget, if you see a big golden mansion with angels playing harps, you’re there!”

Feeling confident, he kept going. But after an hour, he still wasn’t at the gates. Frustrated, he looked up and said, “God, I think I missed something.”

The voice responded, “Well, son, maybe you should’ve asked for clearer directions — or just taken a GPS app that’s been updated since the 1970s!”
