Event Announcement: I am thrilled to announce that Scholten Productions will be the exclusive media and content provider for the 2024 Hockey Alberta U17AAA Provincials from April 4-7 in Leduc, Alberta.

The U17AAA Provincials will see the best teams from around the province face off in top-level clashes to determine a provincial champion.

“Hockey Alberta Provincials history tracks back to 1970 when 28 champions were crowned in seven divisions; Senior, Intermediate, Junior, Juvenile, Midget, Bantam, and Peewee. The model would stay the same for the most part, as divisions and categories were tweaked over the years.”

Today, teams from around the province set their sights on a provincial championship at the start of every year. Provincial Championships are held at the end of every season and push teams to the absolute limit.

Scholten Productions will be responsible for photography, videography, and social media planning/management.

Event Announcement: Scholten Productions will be an official videographer and content creator for the 2024 John Reid Memorial from January 18-21 in St. Albert, Alberta.

“In 1993, the tournament was named the Gregg Distributors Tournament under St. Albert Sabres’ coach John Reid, who was employed at Gregg Distributors. In November of 2003, Mr. Reid passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer and in 2004, the tournament became known as the John Reid Memorial U15 AAA tournament.

Over 160 alumni of this tournament have gone on to play in the NHL. Some prominent names include Rob Brown, Rod Brind’Amour, Vincent Lecalvier, Rob and Scott Niedermayer, Jarome Iginla, Eric Stall, Jonathan Towes, Jordan Eberle, Brendan Gallagher, Jaden Schwartz, Colton Parayko, Morgan Rielly, Matt Barzal, Dylan Cozens ….. and counting.

The Western Hockey League Bantam draft came into play in 1990, and since then, hundreds of players have been drafted from this tournament by every WHL team. This is a MUST tournament for WHL scouts and team personnel, as well as some NHL scouts looking to see potential superstars in the making. At the last edition of the tournament, more than 100 junior scouts were in attendance, as well as some from the NHL.”

Scholten Productions will provide video coverage throughout the tournament.
