"..this one’s a two-for-one deal! First, we’ve got Danny Simmons, who you may recognize from Big Country, who’ll be singing a couple of tunes this year. Danny is a big Dylan fan and can play pretty much anything with strings.

On the right in the above photo is Kathleen Law who will be joining the house band on fiddle for the evening. Scarlet Riveras fiddle playing is integral to the sound of the Rolling Thunder tour and we can’t wait to have Kat on the show this year!"

He’s probably sold you a guitar, worked on your guitar or let you play his guitar. His open mic at Cruikshanks Funeral Home is legendary; with it and several other open mics he has created, he is single-handedly fostering a new crowd of musicians here in Halifax. He’s among the nicest guys you could ever meet, and he’ll be on stage telling you what’s what, who’s who and where’s how all night long on May 24th!"

"You can’t have a Rolling Thunder R***e without a poet! Bob brought along his old friend Alan Ginsberg, and we’ve got everyones old friend Dylan Jewers. If you like music and live in Nova Scotia, you’ve probably got Dylan to thank for at least one thing that has graced your ears. His candle is usually burning at both ends and in the middle... and there are a few other flames nearby. From Nowadays festival to Big Turnip Records along with managing/promoting some of the best bands going, he’s a big part of what’s keeping the scene going. Plus, his name is DYLAN! So, we’re glad to have him on the bill this year."

Catch Jeremy Finney and Andy Webster at the Merry Time Scholarship Benefit Concert on Sunday, April 13th, 3 PM - 5 PM.

Jeremy Finney is a Celtic folk and traditional fiddle player from Halifax. His album " Tip the Bottle” earned a nomination for Music Nova Scotia's 2018 Traditional/Roots Album of the Year.

Andy Webster hails from Lanarkshire, Scotland, and captivates audiences with his unique interpretations of traditional Scottish songs and tunes.
