The Alberta Business Awards of Distinction recognize businesses/organizations that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and contribution to their community while having developed business acumen & management practices to ensure long-term sustainability. To date, more than 404 companies have been named Alberta Business Award of Distinction recipients. There are currently 12 diverse award categories, with an additional Alberta’s Best of Business Award.

Heritage Centre is a 2026 finalist for the small business award and female entrepreneurs award.

We will celebrate the winners on September 23rd in Leduc.

Dust off the armour, perfect the cape, charge the wand and prepare your most dramatic entrance… Cosplay Contests are coming to Mountain View Comic Con!
Join the fun and WIN on September 12, 2026 at The Heritage Centre, Cremona, Alberta for a full day of comics, cosplay, gaming, pop culture and family-friendly fun.

Cosplay Contest Schedule:
10:30 AM — Children’s Cosplay Contest | Ages 0–9
12:00 PM — Youth Cosplay Contest | Ages 10–15
3:00 PM — Adult Cosplay Contest | Ages 16+

Whether your costume took six months, six days, or involved a last-minute glue-gun emergency at midnight — we want to see it!
Come dressed as a hero, villain, warrior, wizard, creature, favourite character or something completely original. This is your chance to step out of the woods and into the spotlight.
