I'll tell you what the best part of this mushroom is. It was early morning and I was going mushroom picking. My daughter wasn't able to come that day as she was going to her dad's . She is my #1 go to mushroom foraging partner. She looked up at me, eyes wide and said "Mom, can you find me a Blue Amanita today". I hugged her and told her I would try my best.
This mushroom was found that day. Just one, all alone 💙
Niot an Amanita but it does have Agaric in the name which is good enough for me!

I started working with Amanita because of this sweet soul right here 🍄

When I was 9 days post partum with my daughter In 2019, I woke from a dream that I will never forget.
Long before I ever ingested this mushroom she showed up in a big way in my life. She showed me that my daughters second name is Amanita.
She told me to start making the m3d!c!ne and the people who needed it would show up...
And they did...
And they keep showing up!

This photo was taken almost 5 years ago now. In that time I launched Amanita Herbs after perfecting my very own kitchen mushroom extract of Amanita.

If you have been here since the start you would have known that my first tincture had a lot of culinary input as well because I didn't want people to be off put by the taste.
If you are familiar with it now you know that it's definitely not meant to taste good, however many people do find that it tastes like a wild mushroom stock.

My heart is full of gratitude for the thousands upon thousands of people who have tried these and told all their friends.
Gratitude to likeminded folks with the highest intentions who I trust to extract this sacred herb in a home-based mycology lab until I can have the space/ afford to establish my own lab (dreams!)

I really wanted to pop on here with this adorable closed eyes photo of my daughter 5 years ago in the garden wearing a mushroom hat her grandma crocheted, and remind all of you as I am reminding myself....
You never know which path your life might suddenly take. If it weren't for that dream, Amanita Herbs would never have begun and I wouldn't have had the honour of sharing this with so many of you

We are still buzzing over the Beltane Witches Market we just had here in Cranbrook.
So many incredibly talented individuals all under one roof.

🍄 Around this time of year I am usually speaking publicly about some of the origins. What does Amanita have to do with the winter solstice? What has been taken, and purposely hidden from us?
Where does the true magic arise during the darkest time of the year?

However this year I am nursing a newborn and am thankful for others who have the time to speak to this such as

I still struggle with watching videos of myself public speaking, as it is a major step outside of my comfort zone.
For this reason I still have not uploaded any clips from the online zoom presentation two solstices ago.
So many of you tuned in, asked such good questions and gave me amazing feedback!
Give this post a thumbs up if you would like me to share some of that presentation here publicly.
I know I have not been very active on this social media, help me jump back into the algorithm so I can convince myself that creating content is not a waste of time 🙃
