I have enjoyed hosting this award for the past year - now I get to present to the next deserving Woman! According to legend, ‘Minerva’ was the goddess of warriors, poetry, medicine, wisdom, commerce, and craft.
The Minerva Award is presented annually to recognize a member of the Women’s Business Network who gives freely of her experience, time and energy to the organization, its members, and our community.
This individual is someone who has been instrumental in the growth of the CVWBN, who has assisted others in the membership and is a well-respected member of the business community.
The presentation of the award is made at the Annual General Meeting, which is held on the second Wednesday in May each year.

Wow. What a room this was. What a crew to work with.

On the cusp of International Women's Day, I had the honour of producing and speaking at a badass event on behalf of the Women's Business Network and WeBC - surrounded by an incredible community of entrepreneurs, leaders, allies, and supporters. The way it should be. The energy was real. The stories were honest. The inspiration — undeniable.

We heard from women who are not only building successful businesses, but building courage, resilience, and opportunity for others to follow. Because progress doesn’t happen alone. It happens when communities show up, lift each other up, and commit to moving the conversation forward.

Grateful for a room full of people who believe in that work. And inspired to keep doing more of it. Honouring the progress we’ve made, and building momentum for what comes next.
