Tomorrow is my last wedding of the season and I’m feeling all kinds of mushy about it.

This year’s brides have been nothing short of amazing. They gave me their trust, their ideas, and in so many cases complete carte blanche to just do my thing. That kind of freedom is every floral designer’s dream and I’m so grateful I got to create with them.

This last wedding is going to be a true beauty and I can’t wait to share a peek with you soon. ❤️

*Fundraiser alert*

A friend of mine passed away on Thursday.

Chad Gauthier was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. We weren’t technically cousins, but we always called each other that - and in every way that mattered, he was family.

And what does family do when someone is in need? They step in and help.

To support his family during this heartbreaking time, I’ll be making a batch of ceramic pumpkin arrangements filled with fresh, seasonal blooms and made with love.

They’re $40 each (or 2 for $75), and all proceeds will go directly to Chad’s wife Sharon and their two sons.

If you’d like one, please message me to reserve.

Pumpkins will be available for pick-up starting October 3rd.

It means so much to be able to honour him in this way.

Well, that was a blast. Last night we kicked off the first of 3 workshops with a flower bar so big, everyone went home with not one but two arrangements.

Such a fun way to start the series!

Thanksgiving centerpieces
Fresh Winter wreaths

There will be no deliveries or flowers available this weekend (pre-orders are not affected)

It's one of my last weekends off before I head into the craziness of Thanksgiving and Christmas 😳

Workshop alert!

Large Fresh Floral Arrangement Workshop with guest flower grower Josee Robin of Robins Florals.

Josee grows over 25 varieties of dahlias—yes, you read that right—and she’s hauling in buckets of them just for us. You’ll get to play with a dreamy floral bar packed with locally grown blooms (a little from me, a little from her) and create a big, juicy arrangement in a ceramic vessel.

Bonus: Thinking about growing your own flowers someday? Josee is a wealth of knowledge and this is your chance to pick her brain about all things dahlias and beyond.

We’ll be there to guide you, but the magic of these nights is that no one ever leaves with the same piece.

This girl just wrapped up her second-to-last wedding of the season and I’m feeling all the emotions.

When I first started Saisons, I never imagined I’d be creating fresh floral installations for brides on their wedding day. But here we are - and I’m not going anywhere. Designing wedding florals has become one of the most meaningful parts of what I do. My goal? To make you feel like the most important person in the room (because you are).

I’m already booking into 2026 and only taking on a select few more weddings, so if flowers are on your mind (fresh or faux) now’s the time to reach out.

Because your wedding is special, and your flowers should be too.

❤️ Melissa

I'll be doing a series of super fun workshops at EK and kicking it off with one on the 18th.

We will have LOADS of beautiful local blooms for all of you to choose from.

You do not need to know floral design or flowers to attend any of my workshops - it's all about having fun together.

You can register here: https://saisonscreations.ca/create-sip-savour/

Let your imagination run wild as you design a custom fresh floral arrangement in a ceramic vessel.

Saisons, alongside special guest Robin's Florals, will guide you through the process. Everything you need will be provided - plus a full flower bar of locally grown flowers to choose from.

Enjoy a drink, graze on a beautiful board, and let your creativity (and mind) drift.

Exciting news!

After 27 years as an insurance broker, my amazing mom officially retired yesterday.

If you’ve been around Saisons for a while, you definitely met her at markets, workshops, on your wedding day, or even delivering your flowers.

So why am I sharing this? Because she’s about to play an even bigger role at Saisons. She’s always had a love for flowers (her yard could be in a magazine) and has already sprinkled her creativity here, like those sweet little ceramic vases at Christmas last year.

I couldn’t be more excited for her and, selfishly, for me. With her on board, you can expect faster turnaround times and some fresh, creative offerings coming your way.

Here’s to new beginnings for her, for me, and for Saisons.

Forever grateful for the amazing flower growers we have in our area.

While buying from big wholesalers can be hit-or-miss, local growers are out there (rain or shine) planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting. It’s backbreaking work at times, but it’s done with so much care and LOVE. The result? Flowers that are healthier, fresher, and full of life in a way shipped blooms just aren’t.

Here in and around Cornwall, we’re lucky to have a whole community of talented growers:

Robinsflorals
Brighter with Blooms
Sunwheel Farm
Wonder Flowers
White Barn Blooms
Dreambaked co. Florals
Munroe Mills

Their hard work is the reason we get to enjoy armfuls of fresh, local flowers.

And here’s the best part—when you choose to support me, you’re also supporting them. Every bouquet or arrangement that leaves my workshop carries a little piece of their dedication and care, too.
