Remember what today is! Remember...its only hours away now.

We are just a couple of days away now, until it all happens once again....yes the sheets are ready, the markers are primed, and the system tweaked to perfection....we are talking about Music Poker at PourHouse Bar & Grill with Greg from &C DJ Services.

With the long weekend ahead and no school Friday, this is a Win Win Situation. Plus it is the atmosphere, the amazing staff and Steak Night all in one place.

Maybe we will play "Boog a Lee, Boog a Lee, Boog a Lee" as well......Let us know what rounds you would like this week....

See you all soon,

October 2, 2026. Sass Jordan died surrounded by those who loved her most. She was 65 years old. Her voice is gone. ✈️

Born December 23, 1960, in Birmingham, England. Moved to Montreal as a child and never left. Tell Somebody came out in 1988. She was 27. One year later, she won the Juno Award for Most Promising Female Vocalist. Racine in 1992 gave her "Make You a Believer." She was a woman singing rock at a time when there weren't many women doing it. 💙

She judged all six seasons of Canadian Idol. She recorded Rebel Moon Blues in 2020 and Bi***es Blues in 2022 with her husband Derek Sharp. At 60, she was still making music that mattered. ✈️

In 2012, the Royal Canadian Air Force named her Honorary Colonel of 417 Combat Support Squadron at CFB Cold Lake. 417 Squadron flies helicopters for search and rescue. While she sang on stage, they flew into danger to bring people home. ✈️

Geoff Kulawick said she was "bold, beautiful and brave." Derek Downham said she was "a ray of light and a really hilarious person." Her family said she was "an inimitable force of nature and an irreplaceable being of light and joy." 💙

She broke barriers in rock music. She made space for women to sing their own truth. She supported the men and women of 417 Squadron who rush toward danger so others can live. ✈️

To the pilots and crews of 417 Combat Support Squadron: Your Honorary Colonel sang for you. She believed in you. Rest in peace, Sass. Your voice will live on in everyone you touched. ✈️ 💙
