Yesterday was my last dahlia show this year. I did well by getting two entries on the Head Table at the Nanaimo Dahlia Show. They were CHi eF 25 for Best Single Large A dahlia, and Kelsey Aria for Best Triple Collarette.

This past weekend I had a great time in Portland Oregon at the 2023 National Dahlia Show. And the Oregon hospitality and craft beer was excellent as well.

1) the Dahlia Show floor
2) I staged dahlias in vases all Friday night
3) more staged dahlias
4) and more dahlias
5) my entry of CHi eF 25 received a blue ribbon (1st place)
6) my entry of CHi Flamingo received a blue ribbon (1st place)

A good weekend at the Victoria B.C. Dahlia Show - exhibiting, judging, and getting a few winning ribbons. First photo is the show's Head Table showing the top winners. 2nd shows half of the exhibit tables, and the 3rd is one of my 3 entries that made it to the Head Table.

Dahlia harvest time! It is still sunny, very warm and dry outside - unusual for this time of year.
