🛠️ Clearwater Ski Hill Volunteer Workbee 🛠️

📅 Saturday, April 18
🕘 Starting at 9:00 AM

Drop in anytime throughout the day, whether you can give an hour or stay all day, every bit of help makes a difference.

As we wrap up another ski season, we’re getting the hill and lodge ready for the months ahead, and we’d love a hand from our amazing community.

This workbee is all about not only closing out winter, but also helping us transition the lodge from ski hill mode to event venue mode for the upcoming season.

The Clearwater Ski Hill and Lodge is a volunteer-run, not for profit community space, and workbees like this play a huge role in helping keep it vibrant, welcoming, and affordable for everyone who uses and loves it.

There’s lots to do, both inside and out, and many hands make light work.

🧹 Jobs to Tackle
• General outdoor clean-up around the lodge — raking, sweeping, and tidying
• Removing snow fencing from around the bunny hill
• Deep cleaning the lodge, including windows and other high-up areas
• Firewood prep — cutting, chopping, and stacking
• Ski run brushing and general hill maintenance
• Helping refresh the lodge as we shift it into event season readiness

☕ What to Bring
• Work gloves and weather-appropriate clothing
• Any helpful tools you’re comfortable bringing (rakes, chainsaws, pruning tools, ladders, etc.)
• A positive attitude and community spirit
Lunch and refreshments will be available in the lodge for our volunteers!

Your support helps keep the Clearwater Ski Hill running strong, while also helping us prepare the lodge for the weddings, events, and gatherings ahead. We’re so grateful for every helping hand and hope to see you there.

Dear Living in Love friends, clients, and followers,

As some of you may already know from my delayed responses and apologies, I have been carrying some very heavy family medical challenges behind the scenes over the past while. (I do want to gently reassure everyone that my kids, Kane and myself are okay). Today, however, we received news that life is going to become a little harder, and with that, I have had to make the difficult decision to pause any NEW 2026 bookings until further notice.

This wedding season is already set to be the busiest it has been since I opened Living in Love Events, and at this point, my cup is full. As much as I care deeply about continuing to grow this business and the people I serve through it, I also need to give myself the space to be present for my family and navigate what lies ahead.

Please know that any signed contracts, confirmed bookings, or collaborative events already in the works will still move forward as planned, so if we have already been in touch and talking, there is no need to worry. My current clients remain a priority, and with the support of my incredible team, all existing bookings will continue to be cared for and executed as planned. I am so grateful for the support surrounding both me and this business.

I kindly ask for your patience, grace, and understanding over the next while as I do my best to navigate everything life is placing in front of me.

The Clearwater Volunteer Fire Department is once again bringing our community one of its most cherished spring traditions, the annual Chad Schapansky Memorial Easter Egg Hunt. 🐣

This is always such a special event for local families, and a great reminder of how lucky we are to have people who put so much heart into creating joyful community moments. There will be food, candy, great visits, the BBQ going, and even a visit from Ember the FireSmart Fox.

📍 Friday, April 3
🕛 Doors open at 12 PM
🐰 Egg hunt starts at 12:30 sharp
💲 $5 per child (up to 12 years)

A huge thank you to the Fire Department, along with Pharmasave, Jim’s Food Market, and Fields, for making it all happen.

Just helping spread the word for a great community event. 💛
