Hello Everyone,
My name is Matty, and I’m the Head Organizer for the Renaissance Faire PEI. I want to address some concerns that have been brought to my attention, and wish for our potential attendees and vendors to know they have been heard.
As things have been coming together, it became clear there simply isn’t enough time to create the kind of experience this Faire deserves without cutting corners. That’s not something I’m willing to do, so instead I have decided to postpone the Faire until 2027. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, your tickets will be fully refunded and you will receive complimentary tickets to next year's Faire should you still wish to attend.
I also want to acknowledge that the lack of clear information and late confirmations caused confusion and skepticism. That’s completely fair, and I take responsibility for it. It was never my intention to mislead anyone, and I sincerely apologize for how this has felt on your end.
I’m not giving up on this Faire. Instead, I’m taking the time to do it properly, with a new target of 2027. There are important changes I need to make—both in how the event is planned and how it’s communicated.
There will also be a change to when the Faire will be happening. I understand the peak of summer is the worst time to dress in hot and stuffy costumes, and the last thing I want is to cause heatstroke.
