Ottawa, but make it tropical. This venue genuinely doesn't look like it belongs in this city, and that's exactly why we love shooting here. The koi pond, the foliage pathways, that glass ceiling glowing at sunset, three spots that make your gallery feel like you eloped somewhere far away without ever leaving town. If you want your wedding photos to feel a little unexpected, save this for your venue list.

Three photo spots at Chateau Laurier that never miss!

Dreaming of a downtown Ottawa wedding? As your photographer, here are my three favourite spots to shoot at Ottawa’s very own castle.
The grand staircase, obviously. The window light there is unreal, and it’s a genuine showstopper, filled with the history of the iconic guests who’ve walked those halls.
The terrace, which looks right out over Parliament. It’s one of the most iconic views in the city and a stunning backdrop every single time.
And the exterior facade, in daylight or lit up at night, looks like something straight out of a film (because more than a few actually have been shot here).
Imagine getting European inspired images without ever getting on a plane. This venue delivers a classic downtown wedding, three times over.
