Just a couple of nostalgia Cardston Main Street photos that have my heart! The Orangegrove I *think* was in the building that used to be attached to Freddy’s, so it burnt down in the ‘70s perhaps? That was probably such a crazy thing to have happen. I REALLY REALLY want someone to open up some sort of orange Julius/protein smoothie bar/coffee and donut/sandwhich shop in Freddy’s. I think there’s a perfect space there and I want it to be named Orangrove very badly ha. Isn’t it cute!? 🍊

And how cute is every single thing in the Tagg’s shoe shop photo!? 🚲 Man I wish Cardston would pass some bylaws forcing everyone to restore everything back ha ha. I hate how much stucco has covered history over. But there’s still a lot of charm to be discovered here I think! I had a great convo with when they were here. Cardston has a lot to offer the tourism industry if they’d reach out and grab it. Main should be smothered in twinkle lights and people who flock soab for Glacier and Waterton would surely start taking more time to see what smalltown charm can be found on their way. 🤩

And I can’t get over “The home of clean, wholesome, supervised amusements” 🤣🤣🤣 So it looks like the civic centre was the Stake Centre originally? Ask your elders and please comment here what you find out lol. 😍

And look at how our main level painted floor feature turned out! 🤩 I love it so much and hopefully we aren’t quite done either. If anyone knows the lovely Bill and Wendy Creed, then it won’t be surprising to know he offered to paint these for me as a service to our Drop-In lunches program they volunteer with. It’s tricky to mop these parts of the floor afterwards when doing our cleanup. I mentioned one day I’d love to paint them when has time and the rest is history. 🥺 And it means so much!

Freddy’s is in print!! We are so excited to be featured in the Fall edition of . 🤎 We are also listed as a preferred vendor in their online guide and it just feels so wild to be at this point with our venue. So far we’ve let things grow mostly by word of mouth, and we are so excited to finally push ourselves a little and be prepared for more. We are all ready fielding many inquiries from 8-10 hours away from our small town tucked into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. 🤩 Thank you to every single bride past and our 2026 couples coming our way! It’s going to be great! ❤️‍🔥
