Competition season is officially a wrap! We are so proud of our team's performance at our last competition of the season, On The Floor. Little Canmore Dance Corps once again made some significant ripples in a great, big dancing sea. We received a number of special adjudicator awards across styles and age groups. Miss Meghan received an extremely well deserved overall choreography and scholarship award for her amazing work with our junior dancers. We took home overall Top Score Tap for Miss Amanda's 'Heart Cry' and overall Top Score Musical Theatre for Miss Jill's 'We Will Rock You'. We had the privilege of performing four routines in the dance-off, which comprised the majority of our team. Our youngest group 'We Own The Night' was awarded 2nd runner up in the Jr division and our advanced Tap dancers were awarded 2nd runner up in the Sr division. And finally, we took home the Studio Spirit Award for the second time this season! Magic was in the air. Thank you to our dancers for putting in the time at the studio and showcasing your beautiful selves onstage. Thank you to our AMAZING teachers for your hours of dedication and high quality choreography. And of course, thank you to our amazing dance parents for your support and enthusiasm. Let's go Canmore!

Congratulations and thank you to all of our dancers, teachers and supporters on a job well done at Dance Invasion. There was a lot of joy and merriment, onstage AND backstage:) We took home three top placements in the dance-off, a plethora of adjudicator awards across ages and styles, highest scoring duo/trio to June-Nelly-Norah, scholarship awards to Tsukino Mori and Emma Wilson and Miss Amanda, and choreography awards for all of our amazing teachers! And of course we have to thank our spirited families for being the most energetic audience members;) Way to go team CDC! One more comp to go!

What a fantastic experience we had at Summit Dance Challenge! Canmore showed up ripe and READY TO RUMBLE! We are very proud of our dancer's performances and to our incredible parent-led cheer squad! We wrapped up the event with numerous Adjudicator's Choice Awards and Top 5 placements, two routines in the Jr & Sr Dance-Off(s), an Educator Award for Miss Meghan, Leadership award for Miss Jill, scholarship award to Tsukino Mori and most of all, the grand Studio Spirit Award! Thank you to everyone from Summit Dance Challenge, all the participating studios, dancers, families and friends, for such a fun and memorable experience. What a great kick-off to competition season! Let's go CANMORE!

We are very proud to announce that Tsukino Mori has taken home the top prize for the highest scoring senior solo at Summit Dance Challenge (Banff). This was awarded to Tsukino for her self-choreograped lyrical solo. This is the FIRST piece that Tsukino has ever choreographed for herself for competitions, and, her first time ever performing it. Watch out world, Tsukino has ARRIVED. We are so proud of our small town mountain dancer! A sincere congratulations to all of the top 10 finalists in the senior solo category! We are in the company of extremely accomplished dancers at this event.
