The short answer: earlier than you think.

Here’s a quick guide:
✔️ Corporate events & retreats: 2–4 months in advance
✔️ Peak seasons (June-October in the mountains): 4-6 months in advance
✔️ Weddings: 6–12+ months ahead

Availability fills quickly in Canmore & Banff, and the earlier you book, the more flexibility you have with menus, venues, and planning.

3 questions you should ask your wedding caterer before booking:

“Are you available on our wedding date?”
This may sound obvious, but it's important! The summer months are very busy in the Canmore, Banff, and Kananaskis regions. Inquiring early is your best bet!

“Where will the food be prepared?”
Having an on-site kitchen at your venue doesn’t necessarily mean your caterer will cook there. For example, we use onsite kitchens as prep and storage, but cook in our kitchens to ensure top quality (that’s why we only cater within Banff/Canmore).

“Do you provide staff?”
Ensure you are aware of what is included and what isn’t. Does the caterer provide staff? What are the staff responsible for? Serving the food, clearing the plates, doing the dishes?
